My original blog is located at ivotedobamain2008.blogspot.com I am new to hubpages, so I will do my best to figure it all out.  I enjoy writing about politics and current news issues.  I was a republican in the beginning of the 2008 presidential race, but after it came down to McCain and Obama, I ended up voting for Obama.  Other than the insane amount of money he has been spending, I believe he has been doing a good job.  Considering the lack of experience, which was one thing that really concerned me, he has been doing a really good job.  I haven't heard of other countries being pissed of at America, so far we haven't had another attack like 9-11 (knock on wood), I must say I am impressed with Obama's work so far.

 I have been reading alot about the healthcare plans being talked about in the white house.  I hope we all don't end up with healthcare similar to Canada.  From what I have heard, Canada's healthcare system has long waiting lists to see doctors and I just haven't heard many good things about it.  I know a national healthcare plan is something Obama wanted to do, but I don't think we have the money to supply a plan of this size.  Also, the way our government runs the programs they have now, I can see national healthcare being a disaster.
