Subscribing to Newletters…Is it worthwhile or will it drive you Crazy?

Driving Me Crazy ...methinks … which is the the down side to sucking up all the freebies on the Web. Freebies are great but they come at a price, a very heavy price. An epidemic sweeping the Web currently is the insidious Newbie Newsletter sign up Syndrome.

Signing up for free Newsletters and getting something free immediately in your in box is great fun for the first year while you are learning how things are done on the web. However after this the fun turns to annoyance turns to anger sometimes when you finally realise that you can’t possibly read all the content coming at you at the speed of light.

Some of the more astute Web Marketers and those who really do care about their subscribers have mentioned on occasion that in order to avoid information overload you need to be disciplined and decide which Marketer or Guru you are going to follow. You then follow them exclusively and forget about the rest .This is much harder than you would imagine since every day you will stumble across yet another must have report that is so so enticing.

The moment you have read the first few hypnotic phrases your fingers tighten around the trigger and you are hooked!

There are certainly many good Marketers out there but they are all going in different directions and if you try to follow more than one or two at a time then not only will you get bogged down but you will never get anything done yourself..While it is tempting, indeed mesmerising, to keep on clicking, the more you click the less action will be evident and in the words of a well known marketer who specialise in e books...you gotta take action ...massive action!

Making money online just as anywhere else requires you to take action…massive action...there I have said it again in case you skipped the previous paragraph. If you are spending too much time absorbing and trying to read all the newsletters you have subscribed to well guess what? you won’t be taking massive action. In fact you won’t be taking any action at all. Does this sound familiar? Do you think this is something I picked up in a newsletter? Well yes and no.

After three hours at your computer with your fingers just about all clicked out you can imagine that you have been really busy and that it is all going to be worthwhile but it's not taking you to where you really want to go.

To make it easy on yourself (hey that was a song wasn't it about 100 years ago?) I have developed a nice little phrase to paste in front of your computer

" it’s called CNN SUS. Or Crazy Newbie Newsletter Sign-Up Syndrome.

It’s very very difficult to eradicate so be warned. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.If you really want to rid yourself of this affliction just scroll to the bottom of the page and sign up for our 92 page mini course which is absolutely free.Since we are currently experimenting with several delivery methods you will be required not only to double opt-in but to keep an eye on your in box for probable additional sign up links. This is to ensure that your really do wish to receive our information and that you are who you say you are.

We usually make a bit of a mess with our clickable links on a regular basis so expect frequent follow up e mails giving you the correct links for your freebies. This is known as our frequent freebie flyer programme(or FFF for short) and you will need to follow the instructions carefully to ensure that you do indeed receive all 92 parts. Just an occasional click here and there and all will be well."

This previous paragraph is an extract from our forthcoming best seller:-

"Click here...Insider Secrets to the Click Power Phenomenon"

Sometimes your list of subscriptions seems to get longer despite unsubscribing from several newsletters. This is down to the addiction of clicking on freebie links which is almost impossible to avoid .You know the feeling.. WOW that’s really great stuff, content, information that I just have to have …and well it’s free so what the heck. Let’s click.

Having succumbed to this insidious syndrome over the last three years( now five) and tried numerous avenues of retreat, mostly without success, I am now in a position to offer expert advice via a free newsletter.(only joking!) Am getting my own back here on those who would have us all turn into Click Junkies.

Now the more serious side to oversubscribing is that until it happens to you won’t know which of the Marketers is going to bombard you with a total stream of emails which will definitely drive you demented. Some of these Marketers will send you emails every day …on some occasions I have even received several emails in one day often just hours apart. Quite often you will receive an email apologising for the second email and giving some excuse about an incorrect link in the first e mail.

Now a genuine mistake can happen but getting a second email when you haven’t had time to read the first is usually guaranteed to make my blood boil. How about you ? Just take a moment to let us know how you cope with this ever increasing problem by filling in the form below and completing our short survey.Just enter the usual stuff and Click where it says .....well you know score by now

Another favourite trick and increasing in intensity more recently is the tsunami of emails from as many as six or seven marketers all telling you about the latest must have course /e.book./ membership site. Of course you don’t know really how many top marketers that you subscribe to are affiliated with other marketers. But you will soon find out when your email in box goes into spasm.

So do the math… If you are subscribed to ten or twenty Newsletters ( or worse, even more like yours truly) and each one of those sends you a blast, sometimes every day for a week or more about the same product then you will be spending the vast bulk of your on line time reading some and deleting most and getting very frustrated in the process.

During the course of writing this article, while also viewing a Camtasia Video Mini Course in 81 parts, we managed to click twenty seven times and this is nearing the number when an ominous sound starts to emanate from your hard drive and wisps of smoke appear around your monitor.

Be warned Clicks are on the move and coming to a town near you.
