Nigella Lawson is the daughter of former Conservative cabinet minister Nigel Lawson who served under Margaret Thatcher. Nigella's's father, Nigel Lawson, is also a former Chancellor of the Exchequer and her mother is a socialite and a part of the group who co-owned the Lyons Corner House empire.Her Parents Divorced in the 80's and they both remarried.In 1985, when Nigella was twenty-five, her mother died of liver cancer at the age of 48. Nigella's siblings include her late sister Thomasina who died of breast cancer in 1993 in her early thirties. Another sister, Horatia and a brother, Dominic.

Nigella began her career as a review writer for The Spectactor and The Observer newspapers after graduating from Oxford University. She then moved on to become the deputy literary editor of The Sunday Times in 1986, its was here she met her first husband John Diamond, they got married 3 years later at a romantic venue in venice. After The Sunday TImes, Nigella wrote for Th Guardian, Daily Telegraph, a food column for Vouge and a beuty column for Times Magazine. She also wrote for several American publications such as Gourmet and Bon Apetit. She first appeared on tv a s a newspaper reviewer on BBC 1s Breakfast With Frost.

From there she became a side-kick on Nigel Slaters Real Food Show. She has now had 5 Television Series' on both Channel 4 And bbc with her latest being Nigella Express and others including Nigella BItes, Nigella Feasts and simply named Nigella.

Her fist husband by whom she had two children Cosima and Bruno died of throat cancer in March 2001. In 2003 she re-married, a art collecter named Charles Saatchi and they are still married now.
