The Reason I Believe Many 'Night Terrors' Could be Psychic Attacks
76If you've ever woken up in the middle of the night with sensations of fear and panic then you could be experiencing night terrors. This ambigious phenomenon is one of the many sleep disorders people may experience due to a lack of psychic balance in their lives.
Many night terrors could be the result of underlying stress and anxiety that puts our mental and emotional energy out of sync. It's important to be able to clear any emotional burdens before falling asleep to avoid experiencing night terrors. The most common manifestations of night terrors include visions of monsters, giant insects, and other frightening images. Some people wake up saturated with a sense of fear.
Even though many medical professionals find it difficult to identify a clear cause and solution to night terrors, these fear-driven feelings and visuals could have a lot to do with our psychic state while we are asleep. Dream workers like Freud and Jung would often suggest in their writings about dreams that the dream is like a passageway into the subconscious mind -- unresolved emotions manifest in symbolic representations of psychic energy. The green monster of envy is one example of how our mind decodes emotions into metaphorical representations.
I believe that some night terrors can be explained away by looking at the internal subconscious state. One way that you can go about testing whether emotional healing can help your night terrors disappear is by changing how you fall asleep. I don't mean changing your bed or the time your fall asleep, rather changing your inner state when you are falling asleep.
Think back to the last few nights when you fell asleep, was your mind racing and filled with worries about the day, the future, and other life events? Or did you feel calm, relaxed and tranquil right before falling asleep?
Positive night-time intentions
One of the interesting factors about the subconscious mind is that when we fall asleep the last thought that we have can begin to play out in subconsciousness for hours -- causing all sorts of dreams, and internal states that react to the original seed of energy that you plant in your mind with each and every thought process. By planting seeds of worry and worrying about what will happen tomorrow, you create a worrisome mind.
The first step in this experiment is therefore to fall asleep on a positive note: hold an image in your mind's eye that brings you happiness right before drifting off to sleep. You may like to think of a close friend or someone who you love deeply and hold their image and that feeling until you fall asleep. This technique alone often puts you into a state of more relaxed, less chaotic, refreshing sleep.
However some of the psychic happenings in the subconscious mind can trigger fears and other emotional states from events that happened weeks, or even years ago (not just based on what you were thinking prior to falling asleep). So it's a good idea to practice relaxation and de-stressing techniques to put yourself in a more relaxed state of being throughout the day. You may like to search for some meditation techniques online.
By focusing on creating a positive intention prior to falling asleepand by working on maintaining a stress-free mood throughout the day you may begin to notice that your 'sleeping mind' quietens down too and night terrors subside or disappear altogether.
