Several years ago, in Gainesville Florida, a budding Anime Music Video creator by the handle ZennMora set out to find the best possible footage to apply to the classic Sifl and Olly ballad, Ninja of the Night. Inflamed by the score created by MTV's brilliant sock puppet duo, ZennMora stayed up night and day reviewing anime footage until his dreams became marginally bi-lingual.

Luckily for the world, Ninjas were about to blast into the spotlight thanks to the anime adaption of the popular Shonen Jump Manga, Naruto. After capturing footage carefully for days at a time, ZennMora locked himself away to painstakingly sync up the mouths of young ninjas Naruto and Sasuke to Sifl and Olly's epic score.

The result? The award-winning AMV classic, Ninja of the Night. Seen at conventions nationwide and performed in tribute skits at cosplay after cosplay event, Ninja of the Night has become a staple of dubious humor.

Since the summer of its debut, Ninja of the Night has received awards at prestigious conventions such as Metrocon in Tampa, Florida, and Anime Festival Orlando. A less-well-known sequel debuted specifically for the loyal Metrocon crowd two years after the original debut.

A quick visit to YouTube.com or "The Internet" will show you that Ninja of the Night has often been attributed to wannabe AMV creator imposters. Now a well-known recluse, ZennMora has stated that he is not discouraged, but flattered. "I like to Google myself," he shared with a confidential source. One can only hope that his body of work will inspire decades of non-linear video editing of copyright protected music and video footage.
