Nintendo Wii

I am the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. Yes, I have other systems, gamecube, XBox, Nintendo DS, but I love my Wii. I love the Wii the best because the games allow you to use your entire body. I don't have to memorize a bunch of buttons and what they do. There are only 4 buttons, so I don't get confused! The games are more family and group oriented, instead of single players, although you can play single player too.

I was resistant to getting the Wii. I though it was just another game system that be used or for a few days then just sit and collect dust. After talking with my sister-in-law about hers and how much fun they have, I agreed to get one. Finding one was another issue! I was fortunate that my brother and his wife who live overseas on a military base found one for me and sent it. After playing it for a few hours I was hooked. I recommend it to anyone!

I was raving about it so much that my mother (who is 60!) decided they needed one! They can't stop playing it. Since she has gotten one, several of my other brothers have taken the plunge and none regret it. We are a family oriented group and the Wii allows us to share the games with the kids without worry of too much violence or whether or not they are old enough. Most of the kids can actually beat the adults! Just ask my 9 year old niece who beat her dad and grandpa playing a fishing game!

I highly recommend the Nintendo Wii over the XBox 360 or Playstation 3. The price is so much cheaper thus easier to budget into your finances. The price of the games are comparable. But the thing that stands out the most is that it really is about partying and enjoying time as a group. That makes the Nintendo Wii the bestv video game system on the market.

One of my favorite games is Mario Party 8, it is a blast. Best played in groups, but ok for a single player game.

I also really enjoy the game that comes with the Wii, Wii Play. That is a good game to get you started.

ANOTHER UPDATE!!!!!!

Rampage is an interesting game where the purpose is to destroy a town while completing challenges in the allotted time. This is a fun game, but tricky for small children and not appropriate if you are looking for games that provide learning with little violence. Part of the game includes eating SWAT team members, as well as other people.
