Nitro cars are fast and furious just like the movie but without all of the expense. The hobby sport of nitro car racing is one of the fastest growing sports around with street tracks and off road tracks popping up all over the country. To me it is for very good reason. Humans have loved racing in all of its various forms since we first learned to outrun a hungry predator. With the birth of the automobile and then NASCAR, Formula 1 and Indy racing it is now ingrained in our societies. RC Nitro cars bring the sport to the common man. For just a very few dollars we can have some of the coolest cars on the planet and run them in actual competitive races.

There is a level of racing and a type of racing that everyone is comfortable with but the higher end but still very cheap is street racing with 2 speed on road cars. With a CEN CT-5 ready to run car with fuel and a starter kit you are looking at around 350 bucks. Not bad for a car that will go almost 75mph right out of the box. And really unheard of at that price. You can find them for a lot higher price but it is the exact same product just from a retailer that charges more. I have found the same cars locally for over 700 dollars, but I guess people are willing to pay double to take it home with them the same day.

What I like about these cars is their reliability. They are built tough from the chassis to the engine, so beginners don’t have to worry about them getting a little banged up. I also like the way CEN made the bodies interchangeable. So I can drive an RC Porsche 911 one day and a Ford GT the next. With 6 different body styles there is a car that will suit anyone’s taste. If you are looking for a hobby that is more fun than you can possibly imagine, that has a lot of really fun and nice people involved in it I would suggest you take a serious look at nitro cars. You will not be disappointed.
