According to Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, people who do not have acceptable health insurance deserve Jail time. Let me explain now that I have your attention.

On Monday, November 9th, Mrs. Pelosi spoke in Seattle at a Swedish Medical Center. She discussed Health Care and the benefits of her plan. When fielding questions, Shomari Stone of Komo 4 news questioned her about her decision to leave jail time for non-participants of her Health Care plan. His exact question was, "Do you think it's fair to send people to jail for not buying health insurance?" Her response in a nut shell was yes. She believes everyone needs to do their part and not place a burden on all. To be more exact, she said,"everyone pays the price for uncompensated health care." She also said, "the plan was fair because it provided subsides for anyone who could not afford it." Wait a minute, is this a democrat talking. The party that believes in placing the burden on everyone else for welfare? I believe in not stealing from Peter to pay Paul, but I find it funny that this party is touting this. Isn't that what we are doing now with Medicare? And pray tell me, who will be paying for this new Health Care? Those who can't afford Health Care will be subsidized by the working class; specifically the Middle Class. Nothing is changing except that the Government instead of the Insurance companies will be making the money through taxes. Also, the Government instead of us will have the decision making power. Dear Readers, there is something sinister going on, and we must ask our legislators some tough questions. According to Nancy Pelosi, the goal is to cover all uninsured, eliminate the burden to all, and cut costs. Well, this health care bill as currently proposed, will do none of the above. If this bill passes the Senate, we will still have the uninsured in the U.S., we, the working class, will still pay for health care for those who cannot afford it, and the price tag for this Health Care will still be in the trillions. If these goals will obviously not be realized, what is their agenda? Why are they in such a hurry to pass this without some honest debate? For something that will cost us a trillion dollars, we sure are acting like it's nothing. Funny that our President cannot make a decision on adding more troops in Afghanistan when his top informed officials say we must, yet he is ready to sign a bill that uniformed legislators may pass. Interesting! By the way, as a side note, didn't President Obama run on the platform that he was not for mandatory Health Care? I don't know.......I'm just saying.
