Once again the proof that viruses are instrumental in the causes of cancer is blatantly shown. This put it at about 8 or 9 cancers that have been proven to have viruses as the cause. When will we stop turning a blind eye to the truths of Cancer and other diseases? For years and years scientists, doctors, and alternative health practitioners have been trying to advise us that the causes are not what mainstream thought has been telling us. Too much money in the mainstream treatment I guess...

Professor Harald zur Hausen of the German Cancer Research Center Heidelberg wins this year's Nobel Prize for Medicine. He shares the prize with the French scientists Françoise Barre-Sinoussi und Luc Montagnier. Zur Hausen is awarded the prize for his work demonstrating that human papillomaviruses, otherwise known as wart viruses, are a major cause of cervical cancer. Because of zur Hausen's research, this particular form of cancer, which has become the third most common form to affect women, can be better treated and prevented today. The award ceremony for this year's Nobel Prizes will take place in Stockholm on December 10th, 2008.
