Nokia 5800: The Music Phone

Nokia is one of the leading manufactures of cell phones worldwide. They have developed many awesome phones for many years now and they are competing with other manufactures to provide the best phone experience for the consumer according to his/her needs. In October of 2008, Nokia released the 5800 Xpress Music cell phone model to compete with Apple's "iPhone" and Samsung's "Hello" cell phone to name a few. The Nokia 5800 is loaded with a lot of features which are quite interesting than previous versions of cell phones made by Nokia. The key features of this phone are listed down below.

The phone has a 3.2 touchscreen. The screen is very responsive and items do open quickly when you need to access them. However, when you're trying to scroll either up or down is not as responsive as other other phones like the iPhone. To its credit, it features full QWERTY keyboard which can be utilized for text messaging and composing messages and in different languages as well. This particular feature is very useful to me. It also has the typical features like on and off buttons to make and receive calls etc. but it also has 3.2 mega-pixel lens and VGA lens. Also, it has a slot for a micro SD card and a 3.5mm headset jack. The audio is really good. I think this is where the phone really shines as it has a great sound quality because when you play music, the sound doesn't get distorted in someway when you adjusting the settings at higher levels to listen to a particular song. It is very easy to transfer music from this phone to a computer and vise versa.

All you have to do, is utilize the USB port to transfer music from Windows Explorer to the phone, it is that simple. It also features a FM radio which I thought was a nice touch to this phone. You can also buy tracks from the Nokia Music Store. It has other features as far as audio is concerned that you will normally find with other Nokia "N" series phones. It also comes with its own set of earphones that I wouldn't personally utilize to get the full enjoyment of listening to music, I would use my own instead. It also features a 3.2 mega-pixel camera which is really good. However, the camera angles are constantly switching between modes and it can get annoying really quick and especially when you're trying to capture in the moment type of picture. The other features that it has are really typical from what you would normally find with other phones.

I personally like the "red eye reduction" feature. The video quality is better than other phones with the same camera. I would recommend utilizing this phone to shoot videos with it and then you can watch them on your computer or TV as it includes a video-out cable. If you decide to buy this phone along with it come a USB cable, a 3.5 handset, a video-out cable and a pouch. I believe that this a really good phone with all the bells and whistles that it has, it could take literally hours to go through each one. I find this phone to be a very strong competitor to the iPhone based on the features that it has. There are some features that can be worked on by Nokia but overall I give this phone a 8 out of 10.
