Nokia 6288 slider phone - taking a look back
54All around slider phone from Nokia
Looking back at a bit older phones when the N series was the biggest hit. When Nokia released the N95, everybody was getting the hype to get one, thanks for the advertisements and good marketing strategy and the quality of the phone itself. Well, in that time, little to nobody seemed to notice phones that were cheaper. Cheaper, meaning it costs lower than the N95 but has top end features that you'll be enjoying as much as the N95.
Design:
The Nokia 6288 is quite a charmer, it looks sleek and attractive.
- It is a slider phone, looks clean and simple. It has a 100 x 46 x 21 mm size, weighs pretty heavy in 115 grams.
- The weight and size of the Nokia 6288 gives it a solid feel but feels a little fragile when you hold it as the slider mechanism is a bit loose.
- The phone has a bright 262k QVGA color screen in 320 x 240 pixels resolution. It's big and it displays clear images, watching videos or just viewing pictures is great.
- Just below the large screen is the keypads. The keypads is Nokia standard, ergonomic and easy to navigate. The four way navigation is just great and response is good when you use it.
- You can choose from 2 themes, black and white, both have glossy look which adds more attractiveness to the phone.

The Nokia 6288 only has an average 2 Megapixel Camera, only has a Digital Zoom functionality and a Flash.

Multimedia is pretty good with the Nokia 6288.
- It has a Music Player that is able to play MP3, MP4, AAC and eAAC+.
- The phone also has a video player, for you to enjoy viewing your movies or videos that you have taken.
