Nose Augmentation

Nose augmentation (nose job) increases the size of small, flat noses to balance the facial features. More commonly done in the Oriental population, nose jobs are traditionally a surgical procedure. Pieces of silicon are inserted to increase the height of the nose.

Recent advances in aesthetic medicine have given patients looking for nasal augmentation a non-surgical option. Injectable fillers such as Perlane and Aquamid can be injected into the nose bridge, allowing an immediate augmentation of the nose, with minimal risk and little downtime.

Filler Augmentation

Made from either Hyaluronic Acid or Polyacrylamide Gel, these gel-like substances are injected into the subcutaneous tissue, adding volume where it is needed. The gels can be moulded into shape. As the correction is in real-time, patients can work with their physicians to create the nose shape of their dreams.

The results can last months with the Hyaluronic Acid type fillers (Perlane is an example), and years with Polyacrylamide Gel fillers such as Aquamid.

Potential side effects are bruising and swelling which can last for a few days. The risk of allergic reactions & granuloma formation is low.
