You can still do traditional activities just with a twist.

Have guests bring favorite CDs and play those for a 'Dollar Dance' and throughout the party

Go with a get together type of food that guests can get whenever they want if serving food

Try pie and ice cream instead of a cake (I got some of those racks for saving space in cabinets, wrapped up squares of cardboard in foil to set on top and stacked the pyrimid style to hold the pies)
