Nordic Track C2255

Although the Nordic Track C255 treadmill has recently been upgraded to the newest model, the C1255, this nice, basic treadmill comes with a reasonable price tag of $899 on sale, down from $999.

Description

This treadmill is a nice, basic economy treadmill with a few extra features. Easy to set up, it features a 300-pound weight limit, and also has an eight-week specific workout regime to target specific goals, such as body sculpting, weight loss, and overall health improvement. It includes personal training workouts and soft cushioning as well. It also has a heart rate monitor, a powerful 2.25 CHP motor, and quiet operation.

Pros

· For a good basic treadmill, this price couldn't be beat.

Its retail price was $999, with a sale price of $899. Although no longer on the market, it is a nice enough treadmill for light use.

· Backlit display for easy viewing

The display makes it a snap to see workout stats, despite the low price tag. In addition, it comes with a workout intensity meter, which shows you at a glance what your workout intensity is (glowing blue for easy, red for intense). This lets you know whether you should step up your workout or slow it down a little bit.

· Lots of workout options

The treadmill comes with an odometer and a "carb counter" so that you can keep track of your fitness goals visually. There are also six workout programs built in and a pulse sensor so you can measure and stay within your target heart rate range.

· iFit Card Compatible

Although it doesn't come with the iFit workout card, it's card compatible so that you can utilize workouts designed by a personal trainer. With the card, you get eight weeks worth of workouts, or 24 workouts total.

You can choose cards based on your goals, with whether they were for overall health, weight loss, or to improve performance.

With the card, your speed, duration and incline is automatically controlled. With each card insertion, you are automatically bumped up to the next level of intensity. This is a great option to have without having to pay for a personal trainer.

· Three-position adjustable cushioned deck

This is an especially important feature, since it reduces impact on joints by up to 28%.

· A 20-inch wide belt

· It folds for easy storage.

· 300 pound weight limit.

· Warranty

This treadmill came with a one-year warranty on parts and labor and a lifetime warranty on the motor.

Cons

· Durability

Although a good light treadmill for the price, reviewers have said that it does not stand up to running or jogging and is best used for light walking. Therefore, although a good option for relatively sedentary folks who just want to maintain fitness, it's not meant for heavy-duty use, such as excessive running.

In addition, its 300-pound weight limit means that it's not suitable for heavier people.
