NordicTrack A2550
NordicTrack A2550

The Nordic Track A2550 treadmill is packed with special features like an iPod docking station with speakers, a Fitness Age Center, a custom workout center and an adjustable cushioning system. It is one of the best values in treadmills at a price just under $1,000.

DESCRIPTION

The Nordic Track A2550 comes complete with 22 different workouts and a rare 22-inch wide belt. This model can handle a person weighing up to 325 pounds. It comes standard with a lifetime warranty on the frame and is a decent treadmill in this price range.

PROS

- The Fitness Age Center will measure and track your fitness age. This feature is a fantastic motivator! As you become stronger, your fitness age is reduced! You'll measure this by taking your heart rate before and after the fitness tests.

- The Custom Workout Center is the key to customizing your fitness routines in a way that enables you to achieve your goals. Preset the amount of time you want to exercise and the speeds at which you want to run, walk or jog. This way, you can fit exercise into your schedule, no matter what is happening that day.

- Complete with iFit® compatibility, you can increase the number of workouts available to you by inserting cards that give you several additional routines.

- A universal iPod docking station allows you to plug in your player and hear your favorite motivating tunes over two speakers as you exercise.

- Included with the treadmill are 10 iFit® weight loss fitness routines, 8 iFit® classic workouts which will automatically adjust your incline and speed as you exercise, and 4 Create & SaveTM workouts that you create yourself for later use.

- Nordic Track treadmills have fantastic cushioning, but the A2550 model features the DuraSoft VTM cushioning. You can reduce the stress on your joints by 19%, all the way up to 33%, if you require more support. This is a nice feature if there are two people using the treadmill since each person has his or her own surface preference.

- It folds up and locks into place when it isn't in use and saves space.

- The wide width belt at 22 inches rivals some of the commercial machines that feature at most, 20-inch wide belts.

- The incline can be set for 0%, and all the way up to 12% for a more challenging exercise session.

- The 1-TouchTM speed controls are easily changed with a button, as opposed to scrolling down through numbers.

- The SolarisTM powered console is brightly illuminated in some areas, so your progress can easily be followed and changed if necessary.

- The DurXTM 2.5 HP commercial grade motor will effectively handle long periods of usage over time.

CONS

- The warranty on parts and labor is only for one year. An additional warranty can be purchased at any extra cost.

I had a fine time putting mine together alone. Seems pretty sturdy for my larger build. Time will tell about how reliable this model is but so far i am very happy.
