NordicTrack C2155
NordicTrack C2155

Nordic Track is a reputable brand name when it comes to treadmills. The Nordic Track C2155 is a brand new treadmill on the market as of 2008.

DESCRIPTION

This model comes with several features, many of which Nordic Track users have come to expect in a treadmill. The professionals at Nordic Track say that by using their treadmill and the iFit® feature, you can notice a significant difference in your weight or muscle tone in just eight weeks.

PROS

· The C2155 features the iFit® Workout Card Technology. A professional fitness trainer designed each fitness routine and each focuses on different fitness goals. The user can choose from performance, weight loss, body shaping and wellness. Each card has 24 workouts from which to choose! Each iFit® card workout has an audio of the trainer who is motivating and encouraging you as you walk. · In addition to the iFit® workouts, this treadmill comes standard with 15 programs that will help you meet your fitness goals.

· The Nordic Track C2155 will accommodate your iPod with a built-in music port, so you can walk and listen to your favorite tunes at the same time. Some MP3 players will work also.

· This treadmill model, like many other Nordic Track treadmills, has the Durasoft IIITM Adjustable Cushioning feature. You can adjust the level of absorption to make you the most comfortable.

· The C2155 comes with a lifetime motor warranty.

· The GraffixTM Display Console is easily read at a glance and user friendly.

· Priced right for most budgets around $800.

· This model is perfect for the avid walker.

CONS

· The iFit® Workout cards don't automatically come with the treadmill; an additional cost will get you the iFit® cards.

· This treadmill is marketed as having a commercial grade motor. However, at only 2.0 HP, the motor in this treadmill is adequate only for walking, nothing else. "Commercial" leads the consumer to believe this treadmill would stand up to heavy use, which is not the case.

· The warranty on parts and labor is a mere one year.

· For someone six foot or taller, this may not be the best choice. The belt length isn't quite long enough for a natural stride.

· The heart monitor only works if you stand still and hold the sensors. Most people want to check their heart rate while they are exercising.

· The weight limit is listed at a 300-pound capacity. However, the belt seems to slip a bit and the motor seems to strain with people heavier than 225 or so.

Overall, the Nordic Track C2155 treadmill is a good choice for those who walk on a regular basis. It's a good fit for most budgets and comes with many of the same features as the higher-end models.

I purchased the unit and noticed immediately that the heart monitor wasn't working; service calls go unanswered.. They knew it didn't work but continued to sell the unit even with the defect. Fraud where I come from. Even the techs that called said they couldn't repair the problem.
