NordicTrack EXP2000
81Running on an treadmill has, in my opinion, a lot more advantages then running outside. I recently bought the NordicTrack EXP2000 on the internet for a bargain price. Someone had it listed on eBay.com for just a couple of hundred dollars and because the winter asked a lot of my body i needed to get in shape for summer. I choose the NordicTrack EXP2000 not only because it had a bargain price, it actually got some really good features also. I will explain the benefits and weaknesses of this machine later on, but let me tell you a little bit about why i choose a treadmill to be my mentor in my quest to weightloss. A treadmill is a fun way to exercise and gives your body a total workout. I, actuually did not buy it in the most perfect time, but i do not like running through the streets. I hate the idea that other people can laugh about you running your guts and see you sweating and moaning after a three miles run. Therefor the Treadmill is my perfect solution.
Why a Treadmill?
In the winter a treadmill is especially handy, who don't want to watch tv while working out in a nice, warm room. People say that having a treadmill in the summer is not neccasery because of the good, warm weather. Personally i like to train on the treadmill also in the summer with a big fan next to me. A refreshing breeze that keeps you sharp! Another big plus for having this machine is you can plan it into your own timetable. Working on times that all Health clubs are open? Buy a Treadmill. Having a full time job being a mom? Buy a Treadmill. Conclusion a treadmill is a good
excerise for your total body and easily integrated in your daily schedule.

Features of the NordicTrack EXP2000 Treadmill
Treadmills are one of the more expensive products you can buy for your own personal health. There is a big range of different Treadmills available on the market with price section from beneath 1000 dollar, between 1500-2000 dollar and treadmills above 3000 dollars. In these ranges there is a lot of difference in quality. Like i wrote before i selected the NordicTrack EXP 2000 not only for the low price but also because it have some great features.
Here are the features in summary:
- Great iFit feature: the iFit concept is great, just hook up the sound out port from your personal computer with the treadmill and click your way to the workout you desire.
- Extremely Sturdy Frame: my fear with treadmills was that i was a little bit too heavy and that the machine could not handle that, the EPX2000 took that fear away.
- ComforTrack cushioning system: it's like running on a nicely surfaced track.
- Easy Foldable: ideal for me, because i live in a small house. Ideal to store in closet or something like that.
- Attractive advanced digital display and control panel: easy to use.
- Lots of pre-programmed courses and 2 custom programs.
- Quite motorized incline control
I thought that are very good features for what i paid so i am thrilled about my new treadmill. It is frequently used and i lost some weight so i am heading the right way. Two days ago i noticed that
the NordicTrack EXP 2000 Treadmill no longer is being manufactured and replaced by the NordicTrack EXP2000i. It only can be get better i reckon. There are a couple of thing that you must keep in mind when you are looking for a treadmill.
Tips for buying an Treadmill
Because there are hundreds of different fitness equipment manufacturers and also treadmill manufactureres it is useful to have some ground rules when looking for an Treadmill. Think about how much money you want to spent on a treadmill before you go online or into a fitness shop. Second thing is to make a selection of treadmills that are right for you. A lot of people forget that weight and height are two very important factors when selecting a treadmill. Bigger people need a machine with more horse power, longer or wider belt size and a good stability. Long people must check if the treadmill belt is long enough, because they probably make bigger steps.
When you have sorted out the most treadmills there are another few thing to take in consideration.
- Be careful with treadmill Horse Power ratings. There are two types of Horse Powered Treadmills:"peak horse power" and "continuous horse power". A motor of a treadmill can have different strengths, you should look for at least 1.5 HP but preferable 1.75, 2.0 or more Horse Power.
- The warranty is another thing that you must have checked before buying an treadmill. Look if you see a lot of plastic components on the machine or are they all metal? Plastic components tend tobreak earlier then metal. A smart thing to do is if you have only a 90 day warranty to extend it. To extend the warranty seems and is expensive to most people but if you get a couple of years morepleasure back for it, it is a good deal.
Nowadays there are a lot comparison sites on the internet for treadmills. When you are not buying a treadmill on internet, keep this tips in your head when you try out the treadmill.
- do my legs feel comfartable while running on this treadmill? (shock absorbation)
- does the belt seem to "lag" or does the motor hummmm loudly? (motor power at fast and slow speeds)
- when you run do you hear weird creaks or do you feel that the treadmill is unstable? (stability frame and treadmill)
Do good research before you buy one and you definetely make a good choise and have fun while exercising. I hope that you found these tips useful and hope you will have success on your quest for an treadmill, like i had success with my low priced NordicTrack EXP2000 Treadmill!
