Best Metropolitan Area for Jobs in America

North Carolina is home to the greater Raleigh-Cary area, named in 2007 by Forbes.com as one of the Number One Top City of the 25 Best American Cities for Jobs. The Raleigh-Cary area was 7th in 2006 and rose to the top in 2007.

Number One: Raleigh-Cary, N.C.

Income Growth Rank: 12th highest.

Cost Of Living Rank: 45 out of the top 50 metro areas. This mean a lower cost of living among the top 50 metropolitan areas.

Job Growth Rank: 10th out of 50. This indicates fast job growth.

North Carolina is experiencing a stable housing market, while some other states are suffering a downturn in the housing market. Raleigh should remain on top economically, becuase of it's stable housing market, high job growth rate and lower cost of living.

The three major universities in the area, Duke, the University of North Carolina, and North Carolina State University, attract large numbers of well-educated employees and silled technology contractors. This should further increase the economic growth of the Raleigh-Cary metro area.

I was born and raised here in North Carolina and there has always been jobs if only a person don't mind working. I'm in southeastern North Carolina and would not want to live around the bigger cities, I love the country living here. Good information for people that is looking for a job and don't mind the fast pace of everyday life. :)
