Not-so-hotties? I love these guys!
67This isn't a Brad Pitt hub.
Or George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Pattinson, etc.
This is a hub for the... not-so-hotties. Those guys on TV and in movies that are possibly overlooked for not being super-hot, super-buff, or super-handsome. Playboys? Maybe not. Loveable? Definitely. These guys have a big fan following for being smart, witty, and talented... and cute in their own way.
Jason Segel does full frontal.
I heard that "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," was a pretty good movie, but nobody warned me about Jason Segel's repetitive full-frontal nude scenes! I can't watch "How I Met Your Mother" anymore without flashbacks.
I read in a recent Playboy article that "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," which Segel wrote, is based on his own life. The poor guy really did get dumped while he was naked. He also really did have a thing for puppets.
The Playboy article also said that he's quite a drinker and party guy! This surprised me, because his "How I Met Your Mother" character, Marshall, is such a sweetie.
That's what I like most about Segel. His characters are sweet, loveable guys that you sympathize for or wish you could cuddle up on the couch with. But I bet he's probably got a bad-boy streak that hasn't been made fully public yet.
Seth Rogen: Freak? Geek? Funny guy!
Rogen got his start on TV's "Freaks and Geeks" and even appeared in an episode of the teen hit Dawson's Creek. He moved onto parts in Judd Apatow's "Undeclared," "Anchorman," and "The 40-Year Old Virgin." Now, not only is he a well-known comedic actor, he's also a writer and producer as well.
The Seth in Superbad? That's him. The Evan in Superbad? That's Rogen's friend Evan Goldberg. Rogen and Goldberg previously teamed up to co-write and/or co-produce "Knocked Up," "Superbad," and "Pineapple Express." Rogen recently starred in the Kevin Smith movie "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." Rogen's latest film, "Observe and Report" is in theaters now. In his next project, he stars as Britt Reid, the newspaper publisher who is also known as The Green Hornet!
The best thing about Rogen's movies is that they're usually good for girls and guys alike. Girls can enjoy the underlying love stories in movies like "Knocked Up" and "Zack and Miri..." but almost all of Rogen's movies are filled with silly punchlines, dick and fart jokes, and hilarious memorable quotes that the guys will like.
You probably only know him as McLovin...
...but his real name is Christopher Mintz-Plasse. In Superbad, he plays Fogell. Fogell is the guy whose nerdiness prevails; he's the first to get the girl and after a hilarious night full of teenage escapades (trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID, getting picked up by the cops, somehow managing to hook up with a super-hot girl) thought up by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, he's the envy of many. He is McLovin.
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called fucking strategy, all right?
Evan: Stay calm, okay? Let's not lose our heads. It's... it's a fine ID; it'll... it's gonna work. It's passable, okay? This isn't terrible. I mean, it's up to you, Fogell. This guy is either gonna think 'Here's another kid with a fake ID' or 'Here's McLovin, a 25 year-old Hawaiian organ donor'. Okay? So what's it gonna be?
Fogell: [grinning] ... I am McLovin!
Superbad also stars some other funny guys and few more noteable not-so-hotties: Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Bill Hader, and the previously mentioned Seth Rogen.
Not sure who I have the biggest geek-crush on...

Excellent. It is good to see the not-quite-Brad-Pitts get some attention. Still though, I would rather go watch Daniel Craig :)
