First there are some things you just have to accept. You haven't practiced cooking enough to try the dishes that would impress the ladies with just the looks.

So what you have to concentrate on is good taste and decor.

Pick some thing easy, and dress up the room to make up for your lack of skills in the kitchen. The skill to cook is not hard to aquire, just give up any fears you have that it is hard. It just means follow the recipe a few times and be prepared to accept a few failures, after you feel comfortable in the kitchen experiment a bit and don't worry it is unlikely that any thing you cook will kill you, no matter how bad it may taste.

A simple Recipe that is quick, easy, and even tastes good.

Six sausage links

2 cups instant rice

2 Cups boiling water

A packet of beef bullion

A pat of butter

1 Cup of frozen vegetables

Directions

Brown the sausages and put the kettle on to boil. Pour out the Rice into a large bowl, sprinkle the bullion powder over top and add the butter, Stir the sausages, so they don't burn. Pour the boiling water over the rice and let sit for a couple of minutes. Take the sausages out while you wait, and cut up the browned sausages into little chucks. Throw them back in the pan to brown some more and add the rice to continue cooking. Add the frozen vegetables try to make the pieces of vegetable bite size. Let simmer for 10 minutes and it ready to eat.

This would all take about 30 min total and the procedure is not complicated or even that critical for time just don't turn the heat up to high or you burn the sausages and rice.
