Nothing Tastes as Good as Thin Feels

The Pursuit of Thin
While walking to my hotel last year on vacation in Florida I saw these words: "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" Anonymous. The impact of this statement has stuck with me since then. The feeling of being thin is not comparable to many other feelings as long as you are healthy and thin.
The pursuit of being thin can overtake an individual regardless of race, gender or age. My desire to be thin began in high school when, looking back, I already was thin. I mean, how could being 5 '7" and weighing 135 pounds be considered anything else? Unfortunately, in my mind at that time it was not thin enough. But, quite frankly from where I stand now, its looking pretty good!
Being thin without being healthy is just not cool. Especially when it is within our power to achieve both. Trying to lose weight to live up to what we see on television or in magazines can totally suck the fun out of eating and create a state of panic at even the smell of food. A balanced approach is much better.
As the New Year approaches many of us may be thinking about losing weight. And, maybe we have gone so far as to add this goal to our list of New Year's resolutions. Hopefully however, with this addition we have also taken the time to include things like being healthy, achieving prosperity, improving our relationships and increasing our overall well-being. In other words: balance.
Being thin does feel good. Nope it actually feels great! But being healthy and thin feels better. My wish and prayer for all who desire to be thin is that this year they strive to do both. Happy New Year!

As a 17 year old size 12-14 i am perfectly happy with who i am. I have someone who loves me for who i am, and more importantly because i love myself for who i am.
It is also true that men love curves, bums breasts and all that. I'm not suggesting we all parade round like tarts, but i'm sure my boyfriend would have something to say if i went down to a size 0 and lost my booty!
Oh you made me smile :-) You go girl! I am so glad you are happy with who you are. Thanks for the comment. Being healthy and happy with our size is very important.
This is an absolutely wonderful article. I'm glad I found it, and thank you so very much for writing it. Best regards, Janice
I was considering Kate Moss approach to dieting, thank you so much for bringing me back to my senses. Although i must admit it is tempting but i know from looking at pictures reality is that skinny is not always that nice a well toned body with health will always look better
Nice article...someone asked me what are going to be my New Years resolution(s). I laughed and said, " I'm still working on my resolutions from 2007."....lol....
