Numerology is an ancient study of the vibrational and spiritual significance of numbers and how they affect your life. In a mathematical universe where the planets stay in orbit due to precise laws of physics, plants follow the rhythm of nature and our bodies function with mathematical precision, using numbers to take a peek into the future or to understand your character, purpose in life, what motivates you, and the talents you have yet to express can be useful and fun!

I find it practical to know for example, if I were considering a career move, a number 2 year would not be a good one, due to its slow vibration, but the following year, which will be a 3, (the number of growth), would be more supportive of my changes, well at least mathematically! As mentioned, numerology provides input on different areas in your life, but for this article, I will focus on the personal year.

To calculate your personal year, add your birth day plus your birth month and the current calendar year, and reduce the total to a single digit.

Follow the example to determine your Personal Year; let's take Eric Clapton's date of birth 3-30-1945. For the personal year we leave out the year of birth in the calculations.

Birth Month: 3

Birth Date: 30

Current Year: 2009

Total: 3 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 17

Reduce the total (16) to a single digit: 1+7= 8

Eric Clapton is therefore in a number 8 personal year. An ambitious year, where he can make further career advancements or meet goals.

PERSONAL YEAR 1

This is a year of new beginnings. New opportunities will either knock at your door or you will create them by taking the initiative in taking action to fulfill your goals.
