Proper Nutrition is Gas to Your Body...
We take better care of our cars, than ourselves sometimes...
We add gas, change the oil, and perform periodical maintenance on our cars to keep them running right. But we don't think about the maintenance of our body.
So much is said today about the lack of nutrition in the food we eat, and the over weight Americans causing health problems for many. Unfortunately we don’t think about whether the foods we eat are giving our body what it needs. We give more thought to the clothes we wear than what we eat.
I thought it would be worthwhile to look at our body needs, so we change our focus towards a healthier life style.
Your body relies on you to eat the right foods, making it possible to stay healthy. It's the gas and oil that keeps us running right. Exercise is our periodic maintenance that keeps are heart and muscles operating right. If you do not think you are getting enough of a certain kind of nutrient, you should consider supplements to help you achieve those normal levels. Vitamins are one part of your diet that you should be careful not to overlook. Among the thirteen vitamins needs in your body, vitamin E is one of them, and you should be aware of what it does in your body. Simply put, understand our own health is important because if you do not understand it we cannot make sure we are staying healthy.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, along with a few other vitamins, including vitamin K. Because it is fat-soluble, it does not exit the body completely and in high levels, but instead can be stored for later use and made in the body as well. This is very important, because it means that we do not have to eat foods rich in vitamin E every single day. However, it is still important to get enough vitamin E, whether it is through foods or vitamin supplements.
The main function of vitamin E is to be an antioxidant. Antioxidants are simple guardians of the body. They help your tissue sustain damage cause by free radicals, which are unstable substances in the body. Tissues make up our organs, so antioxidants are very important to keep all parts of out body health. They are also thought to help slow the degenerative aging process. Another important function of vitamin E specifically is its role helping the body use vitamin K, which helps your blood clot.
Most people get enough vitamin E when eating a healthy diet. Foods especially rich in vitamin E include wheat germ, corn, asparagus, vegetable oils, olives, margarine, nuts, and leafy green vegetables, like spinach. Look on the label. Foods rich in vitamin E will have its presence listed under ingredients or on the nutritional value part of the label. Vitamin E may also be called tocopherol.
Vitamin E deficiency is usually not a problem, nor is overdose. However, it is important to be careful is you are taking multivitamin supplements that include vitamin E. Reports of taking large amounts are mild, but can give you headaches. It is best to talk to your doctor is your believe that you are not getting enough vitamin E.
If you stop and think about what you eat, you are more likely not to need to take Vitamin E or any supplement. If you need a supplement, but don’t like taking pills, try other form called suspension gel technology from Agel, or a liquid that are both on the market now.EXO is what you need for your daily antioxidant.

Nutrition Program
A Good Nutrition Program is one designed to good health, and weight management..
This nutrition plan has been designed with one purpose in mind, to immediately get your metabolism running as fast as possible! This program is based on sound nutrition principles that are effective for fat loss while also improving your health and energy levels. The basis of the program is consuming lean sources of protein at each meal along with either complex carbohydrates or some healthy fats. These foods when timed properly and eaten in the correct combinations have been shown to increase metabolism and burn body fat without leaving you feeling hungry or drained.
Protein: The program requires a serving of lean protein at each meal. Acceptable lean protein sources include fresh fish, chicken breast, turkey breast, egg whites, tuna fish, lean cuts of red meat, and protein shakes, or supplement like Agel’s PRO. The function of protein is to support and build lean tissue such as muscle and organs. Protein is not a source of energy and yet is also very filling, so by including it at each meal you will feel satiated while supporting metabolically active muscle tissue, which is your body’s fat burning engine!
Carbohydrate: Carbohydrate is a source of energy and the primary source of fuel for the brain. Therefore carbohydrates are a necessary component of any sound nutritional plan. Acceptable sources of carbohydrate include rice, potato’s, sweet potato’s, oatmeal, and some whole wheat products. These slow release carbohydrates will provide a steady source of energy throughout the day to keep you feeling energized while allowing your body to remain in a fat burning mode.
Fats: The good fats included in our nutrition program are essential for the healthy function of your metabolism. Acceptable sources of fat are olive oil, flax seed oil, and raw almonds. In addition to keeping you healthy and energized, these types of fats have been shown to aid in the body’s metabolism of stored body fat and actually make you leaner when consumed properly.
Beverages: The program encourages drinking a minimum of 100oz of water per day. This will keep you hydrated and encourage your body to shed excess water and sodium which will aid in faster weight loss. Other acceptable beverages include sugar free tea and crystal light. It is recommended that coffee is limited to 1 cup per day.
Cooking and Seasonings: The program allows foods to be cooked in a variety of ways as long as no fat or salt is added to the food. Grilling, baking, broiling, and steaming foods are all recommended.
