Nutrition Supplements and Singing

This is a story about how nutrition supplements help my husband John's singing career. John has written this article.

Singing is a source of great pleasure for me.

From the age of sixteen until now I've been singing in garage bands, (playing at friends parties ONLY ) to more well known groups supporting acts like Chuck Berry, The Hollies and Black Sabbath.

I got over the " nervous " stuff after half a dozen shows.

Looking back over the years, the most common reason for my band " cancelling " a gig would be because I had a bad cold or flu.

One time my band was booked to do a show and on "the " day I had such a bad cold I could hardly TALK let alone SING.

It was too late to cancel the job, so, in desperation I asked the doctor what he could do.

He suggested accupuncture so at 2 pm I went to his surgery and got needles sticking out of my lip, eyebrow, ears, neck and a few in my backside for good measure.

He told me my voice would come good in one hour, my cold would be gone and I would be fine to sing that night.

I said " fair enough , whatever you say." (yeah, right, who was he kidding ?? )

There was one catch - at 2 am I would turn into a pumpkin. My cold would come back worse than before. That was ok, I would be on my way back to bed by then.

HE ( the doc ) was right, we had a really good night and my cold did start coming back on the way home.

The only thing was, the acupunture was just "covering up " what I had.

I didn't want to " GET " those colds in the first place !.

There had to be another way wasn't there??

I started vitamin pills and only had one cold in the next six months.

The problem was there were about 30 pills to take every day !

All lined up along the breakfast bar in the morning like little soldiers waiting to invade my throat, S.W.A.T. pills !!

Luckily a friend told me about this product that would give me the same results but it was " liquid".

So now, instead of gagging on all those pills every morning, I fill up a shot glass with yummy tasting mangosteen and minerals.

I used to get 6 to 8 colds or flu every year but now I don't get the flu at all, and maybe 2 little colds a year.

And the best part is, I can sing whenever I want and don't have colds or flu messing things up.
