The Nutro Choice Lamb and Rice treats made my dog sick. She has been on Nutro Choice large puppy mix for several months and I noticed that her urine was very concentrated during this time. I then added the Nutro Choice treats and she became very sick.

People continue to complain about Nutro products making their pets sick or killing them but the Nutro company hasn't decided to pull any more prducts from the shelves. The recall was up to the company pulling the products. This was not a forced recall.
There is a Class Action filed against Nutro due to false advertising. Nutro makes claims that Nutro products are a healthy choice for your pets. But the claims of the Class Action and pet owners claim different.

We just fed our dog molly (Boston) Nutro Natural Choice Midwest Beef Stew Chunks in Gravy as a treat. 2 days later she became terribly sick, I have never seen her this sick. I don’t think this company has cleared its ingredients (wheat gluten) from not having problems. Companies like this make me sick. Nutro and Iams (cruelty to animals) are now on my boycott list.

If corn, wheat, or soy is included in your pet's diet it will kill them. The wheat problems in 2007 and was just a cover up for poor pet food ingredients.

I'm writing this in great distress. Our little Yorkie ate your food since she was 6wks old. On and off for the five yrs we had her she became sick, throwing up and listless but every time we took her to the vet she had gotten better, this went on for the last 2 - 21/2 yrs.
The past month she got sick same symtoms and we changed her food to home made dog food and she got better for a few days. She stopped eating again so we got new dog food for her and she ate it for a few days then quit. She went from 7lbs to 4lbs still throwing up and listless. We took her to the vet on June 12th, 2008 and she didn't know what was wrong and gave her an antibiotic and pepcid with the next thing to do was to bring her in for blood work the next day if she didn't get better.
She died that night so sick it was pitiful to watch her!!!
I want to thank you for killing our little angel and you have the nerve to continue selling the nutro natural, you are letting china kill us and our animals just to save a few dollars you should be closed down for good!!!
We didn't know there was a recall on the food she was eating until it was to late to help her.
I hope you feel shame for what you are doing although I'm sure your NOT!!
I am sending this to everyone I know and asking them to do the same so people don't feed their animals with your food!!!
Zeus was a little angel and now she is gone much two soon our little 21/2 yr old boy doesn't understand where she is just that she has disappeared SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Zeus ate nothing but your food and the ariticle I read said the ingredient came from from china! And like I said I will warn everyone NOT to use Nutro Max of any kind!

I hope you know Susan and her site have nothing to do with that comapny. She is trying to tell everyone not to use the food. Wheat, corn and soy kills our pets.
You wrote like it was her company. It is not. She is against that food, too. She is a good guy and I feel you blamed her.
I am so glad I found this site and started learning from Susan what not to feed my dog.
My mom recently lost a good dog and I think his food killed him, too. The vet said he was ate up with cancer.

Barbara is correct in telling you that I have made writing these pet food reviews my hobby and my full time job is as a pet groomer. I have nothing to do with pet food companies, I simply warn people of the dangers of pet foods. I, like Barbara, think you some how believe I have something to do with Nutro. I do not. I am a pet lover and have had my share of loss at the hands of the pet food industry so I want to warn every pet owner of the harmful effects of eating poorly produced pet foods.

We are so upset to find that the "best" products to feed our furry family members is affected. What upsets me most, is that I don't mind paying good money for healthy food for my dog, but when the ingredients are not purchased in this country and the manufacturing is not performed in this country, it tells me that a pet food company does not care about the consumer and the pet, just the cost and the profit.
