Like nuts? Like fish? You should try this recipe.

It's easy... I can't cook, yet I managed to create this baby (after nearly burning myself with oil while trying to flip a piece of chicken in a pan...). The pecans give it a really great taste. Did I say it's really easy to make?

Pecan-crusted salmon

  • 4 fillets of salmon, 6 ounces each or so
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 resealable plastic bag
  • Medium bowl (not deep)
  • Skillet
  • Baking pan, 15x10x1 inches
  • Nonstick spray
  • Stove and oven
  1. Put the salmon and milk in the bag. Seal it and coat the fish with milk, letting it sit for 10 minutes, then drain.
  2. Mix the pecans, flour, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in the bowl. Cover the fish with the mixture, making sure the coat is thick and even.
  3. Fry the salmon in the oil in the skillet until browned, then put the fish in the sprayed pan. Bake the fish at 400 degrees for 8 or 10 minutes or until the salmon is flaky... all done!

I suggest serving it with lemon wedges and/or vegetables on the side. You can also try making a glaze for it, like a honey-mustard or BBQ glaze. Make sure it's sweet!
