Well one of the things that Vista now requires is more system resources. Now most people are going to say it is a waste. Well it is not a waste. I have vista and these extra resources expand your possibilities and make a computer more than just a calculator.

One of the great reason to get a new Nvidia 8000 series graphics is because you can use the wonderful display and dual screens to the up-most advantages. For example you can use Flip which allows you to see the open windows in Vista new configurations. I will show you a picture later.

The second reason to upgrade is DX10 which is DirectX 10 for you people who don't know. DX10 is for next generation games and applications to make things look better and easier to use.

The third reason is to off load process time from your CPU. With a GPU, graphics processing unit, you can get better performance off a PC with one simple add on. This means more processing time for other applications. This also takes a load of your memory,RAM, so that your Applications have more they can use.

The forth reason is to do dual monitors. Dual monitors allow you to have 2 monitors running at once. This means you drag other items to other windows for better productivity.

The 5th reason is Nvidia's driver that are so stable on Vista that i never have to worry about a crash because of my graphics drivers.

The 6th is because windows sidebar can run better and faster with Nvidia than a plane old integrated video chipset.

These are the reasons so come on and join the fun by buying a Nvidia 8000 series graphics.

Have a great day

I dont agree... nvidia has been surpassed by ati until the 280 came out, but not by much at all. If you look at recent graphs ati is only off by 5- 10 frames a second, but maintaining a better price. Nvidia's cards cost about 100 - 200 more than ATI's for about 10 FPS more... not the greatest deal. And You can always go for overcloking to achieve the same performance... just remember to keep it kool =D
