There is not a liberal America and a conservative America. There is the United states of America - Barack Obama.
I think Obama's quotes some thing that awaken people and he has passion to lead America into a new world.
If you learn Bahasa - this language spoken in Indonesia where Obama was in child - the word KITA (=WE) used instead of KAMU (=YOU) when people explaining something. The word KITA in conversation takes other person as part of his/her personal concern. So insurance salesman will say ‘company will give money after passaway' instead of ‘give money after YOUR funeral'. It's quite difficult to describe but people try to get others into their own personal space not pointing out others.
When the word YOU & I combined then all parties become WE. There is no differentiation anymore between YOU & I.
The 3 letters of YOU and 1 letter of I - become 2 letters of WE. Simpler but stronger.
Racism, gender discussion or any other silly thing which still found among us are example of the above concept. Try to Google keyword Racism Test? Hundreds pages I bet. Do you imagine that thousands dollar revenue generated from business related to those word? Because we - not you - never aware & accepted people as a trully human.
Obama has many things that can change people mind. He shows his heart and is able to carry that weight. His quote means the United of America should be one. Nothing else.

Barrack Hussein Obama, says what he thinks he has to say to be elected, that’s what politicians do and he is without a doubt the best politician in years. That’s all he is, he’s not the Messiah, he’s not going to change America and he is not going to lower gas prices. He’s a socialist leaning, young, inexperienced politician who sounds pretty. And that’s only when something is prepared. He may very well be the next president of this country and he may very well be better than what we’ve had since President Regan, but this bringing everybody together stuff is just bull. Big government, control of all private business, disarm American citizens, this is what he is going to-do. If this is what you want, Obama is your man.
