Obama, Wright And The Trinity United Church
59I cannot say anthing that references what goes on in the Trinity United Church. I am not a member, I have never heard of it before now, and of course have never been there to hear a sermon given by any of its members. I can only surmise things from what I have read or heard.
We have all read or heard of Barack Obama's retired minister by now.. so this in not so much about him.. or about his church.
It instead is a reflection on what is expected of human beings in dealing with this world when we have a spiritual sense that all life is worthwhile and we are faced with the realities of the deadliness of people like Bin Laden.
From what I have read and heard ... the minister Wright has horrendous hatred for our country for killing millions of people from the world wars to terrorists. He hates America for the slavery of the past.. for segregation... for not living up to what we have had the capacity to do... for whom or what he points that I do not know.
Wright has used his church pulpit to speak of his political feelings... mixing them all up with religion and religious teachings,
There is a statement in the Bible that says..."render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and unto God that which is God's."
All through time man has been called upon to protect his country or home or famiy against those who would detroy them. Instead of defending ... should man just stand there.... because we hold all humans to be of infinite worth.... with a soul..... not defend ourselves.. our Nation.. our family....our home.... .... or Is this where we "render unto Ceasar.."?
It seems Obama has been a part of a church that would like to petend the United States has killed needlessly and mercilessly.
Obama himself feels he is the one who can go and talk face to face with our direst enemies ... and succeed.
Does this come from the feeling of hatred he has heard from Mr. Wright over the millions of lives the Americans have killed.. from Hiroshima onwards and fefore? Has this teaching in turn made him really believe there is a way all of that could have been avoided if only someone in the U.S. had had enough understanding and caring to have just gone and sat with the enemies and reasoned with them?
It is naivete at its darkest if that is what he has come to believe...if he really truly believes he can face our enemies.... those whose foremost desire is to destroy us and all we stand for... and reason them out of that hatred.
It seems to me Mr. Wright 's teachings of hatred against man.. American man.... has made Obama more determined than anyone to make sure none of those "atrocities" we have inflicted on others will ever happen again... that finally there is someone who can "fix" things so no one in the world ever again will ever want to hurt anyone else anywhere ever again... and the peson who can do that is he himself.. Obama.
All he has to do is sit down and reason with them.
If that is what he feels in reality.... if he really feels he can do this... that is about as far removed from reality that anyone can get
I do believe the Trinity United Church professes to be a Christian church .. but the pastor Wright has done his members a great disservice if he has not taught them anything about "rendering unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's.. unto God that which is God's"...words of Jesus.. and instead has made them believe the hatred he spews toward the American white man is righteous and certainly justified.
Barack Obama needs to wake up and realize that we must "render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's".... and we have the right to do it.

.. and a person is what he believes. What is a worry is how he is trying so hard to cover it... and the eloquence in his speech can fool many... even when he says nothing with all his words.

I do wonder if too much emphasisi is being placed on Obama’s pastor, rather than Obama’s religion itself, which is what HE “believes” , not just what he “listens” to. Kind of killing the “messenger” and ignoring the “message”
Some people say that Obama “obviously” didn’t mean to say anything predjudiced against white folks. Well, here is what his faith says:
" Black Liberation Theology" states. It's not pretty.
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community.
If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.
The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community …
Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy.
What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal.
Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love. [1]"
