I'm not really sure what the United States is going to do about a Presidential Canidate this election year. How did we end up in this kind of mess. But I'm sure that one day we'll all look back on this and laugh or cry. Surely there must be people other than these who could run for President of the United States.
John McCain is the best of this bunch and I'm not even sure he's qualified to be President. I for one would really like to know how he picked Sara Palin. Did everyone else turn him down. My computer wont load the videos you posted on here to watch but I do have a comment. In the last weeks, he's made the statement that he will be campaigning in the 57 United States. He's done this more than once. Yet, the media dismisses it and it's never brought up. 57 states. Sorta tells you what school he went to as a small child huh? How many states are in the United States? Now, how many muslim states are there? Yep, 57. This should be a sign of what is really in his heart and mind. Yet, no news wants to talk about it. Well, just because they don't talk about it doesn't mean it's not important. It should be to anyone who is going to vote of live in the USA. Thanks for the hub and giving us the chance to voice our feelings.

I don't think he should be President of the United States but I also don't think Sara Palin should ever be Vice President of anything much less the United States. She's the nuttiest thing to ever run for Vice President and thats for sure. She couldn't even handle the job as a small town Alaskan Mayor. Wasilla was debt free when Palin became Mayor. When she left office six years later it was 20 million dollars in debt. $3000 for each and every Wasilla citizen. Can you even imagine.
Colin Powell has rightly said what if he was a muslim? The present high priest of christian religion the good ol' bush hasn't done any better (I am a US resident but Indian citizen and this is my impartial take on this issue).

It does not matter if he is a Muslim. It does matter if he covers up that fact. However I do not think any of the canidates running for President are fit to be President. John MCcain is the best of the bunch and I am afraid he is a carbon copy of Bush. But bottomline why did he slip and say it. Why indeed. I really think we as American citizens should have the option of choosing none of the above on election day. Now that would send a message wouldn't it.

Those are all cold hard facts people. I for one believe we have some very unqualified people running for office in this country. I really wonder if you can read and you should read everything about all of them that you can find how any person could walk into a voting booth and vote for either of them. Have you one time heard them mention the 12 million hungry children here in the USA. Not once have I. Nor have I heard either talk about the billions of dollars of repairs that needs to be done to our roads and bridges in this country. Instead we worry about the dumb shit like the cost of Palins wardrobe. You know what I say America. Get a life.
I really wonder what great Americans like Washington , Jefferson and Adams would say about all this bullshit. You know what I believe they might just start a revolution. America has come far from where it should be. Far indeed.
Elections are over, but controversies are not. What is all this affair with Obama's birth certificate? If you google it (obama's birth certificate) you'll get lots of interesting information. Why is this man so evasive? What does he have in his sleeves?

I didn't vote for either party! I just didn't feel comfortable with any of the parties so I voted for some person I never heard of but he was under the Mountaneer party. You know we don't have to vote for either demor rep if we don't feel something is not right. WE have a choice!

Is it reasonable to assume that perhaps (then) Senator Obama was indeed tired and actually had a slip of the tongue?
Remember that this was in the heat of the campaign where he would indeed have been fatigued and as a result of the daily bombardment of references and questions as to whether he was muslim or not made a mistake.
As far as his birth certificate goes, it's best to let those who wish to pursue a conspiracy regarding said article as an indictment of President Obama to go right ahead. Factcheck.org cites numerous (official, government) sources which verify that the document in question is authentic, has a raised seal and signature stamp from the Hawaiian Department of Health. I also like what Politifact.com had to say about the matter: "It is possible that Obama conspired his way to the precipice of the world’s biggest job, involving a vast network of people and government agencies over decades of lies. Anything’s possible. But step back and look at the overwhelming evidence to the contrary and your sense of what’s reasonable has to take over."
