Walgreen's, a big supplier of Chia pets, pulled 200,000 Obama Chia pets from their shelves back in April when the Obama Chia was released because of customer complaints.
Joseph Pedott, the founder of San Francisco based Joseph Enterprises, makers of Chia, said he was inspired to create the bust of Obama out of desire to show patriotism. He was shocked at Walgreen's decision.
What is a Chia and How Does it Work?
Chia Pets are a traditional Mexican grooved clay figure that is covered with moistened chia seeds. The seeds spout creating a covering similar to hair or fur. Enough seeds are included for three plantings, but more seeds can be ordered separately. They first gained their popularity in the 80s.

LOL.....how funny. Who wouldn't want a Chia pet made in their likeness? LOL With him being a Nobel Prize winner, they may go up on the price of these! Better buy them up quick! LOL
This is too funny! Love it!
LOL...I know, right?
I was about to blog about the Obama Chia after I watched the MSNBC special then realized someone else beat me to it on here. Good content!
I see a little of the "Bill Clinton" The Old Firm was talking about.
Maybe Obama Pez dispenser.
Custom Chia's would be neat and would probably do pretty good.
LOL.....yeah, I discovered it a couple of months ago. Nothing's keeping you from writing another hub about it from another angle. If you write one, email me and we can provide each other with some backlinks.

You know where they've been - well they're going there again!! Our tyres will never over inflate, and are totally f****ed before manufacture)
Cheers kid,
