Obama: Is He Destroying America?

Obama Takes America For A Ride

When Senator Obama was a candidate in the Democratic primary, did anyone know
what he meant by "change?" The same question applies to when he was the
Democratic nominee. The answer is of course, no. The reason behind the no
answer is, because he didn't want us to know.

What he knew was the ultra liberal indoctrination of the individuals he
associated with. These are the men that were his mentors, State Senator Emil
Jones(head of the Illinois Senate), the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Illinois
Senator Dick Durban, former American born terrorists and more of this ilk.

I watched a television program during the Obama-McCain race that had thirty
Obama supporters in a room, they were asked a very simple question. What
issue do you like that Senator Obama espouses? The interviewer went around
the room getting answers. The following were some of the answers.

I like his personality, He really speaks well, He has charisma, He is
someone I can follow. The interviewer asked all thirty people in the room
and not one spoke of an issue. Does that not scare you about your fellow
Americans? They wanted "change" but had NO idea what it was going to be.

Well, now we know Obama's real agenda. Bigger government than we ever
thought of, the government controlling private companies, how much salary
a person can make and more.

We have learned how many zero's there are in trillion, how many of us can't
find jobs, union's can have their way with workers, transparency is
led lined, crossing the aisle is easy if the other side agrees, how many
laws a majority can quickly pass and many more great American things.

We were taught how many Presidential nominees haven't paid their taxes and
the President can fire an Inspector General at a moments notice. That last
one is very interesting. Then Senator Obama co-sponsored a bill that
became law. It says an Inspector General must receive a thirty day notice
before being removed. That turned out not to be true if you are the
President.

In Sacramento, California Mayor Kenny Smith and his supporters have taken
the public for nearly a million (not trillion)dollars. Stimulus money they
have received seems to have been spent on things like washing their cars.
Does that make you feel good? It seems they were exposed by an Inspector
General, but Mayor Smith is friend's with the President! What a delima for
Obama, but there was a simple solution. FIRE THE INSPECTOR GENERAL! It only
took one hour for this phone call to be made. Actually the White House only
asked for this man to retire, problem. He desired to keep his job.

Do you hear about the above from the media? I guess that depends what media
you get your news from. Most of the media is in Obama's back pocket. What
does all this mean to America?

Big brother is taking over and so many people do not realize it. This
country is headed for socialism and that is not a good a not a good thing.

A quote froma friend of min,. A Liberal is a person with a flagrat
disregard for the constitution." I hope this isn't true but Obama has
quicly changed the American way.

My articles format has been changed, I would never write with sentences being broken up to different lines. This makes it difficult for even me to read.

George W. Bush is the one who very nearly destroyed America.

Frank Rich grades Obama's paper so far--C+ Obama's doing his best to deal with many serious and diffiult issues--health care reform, reforming the financial regulatory system, getting us out of a deep recession, Iran's and Korea's nuclear program, not to mention Afghanistan. That's a pretty full plate.

Hi Harvey, I am afraid we are in a up hill climb. People were convincved that "change" just for the sake of change was good, without ever questioning what that change was going to be. But the real problem comes when a people lose control of the two things that influence the people more than anything else in their society, the media and the education system. Both of these are now controlled by the liberals, ABC Mgmt. contributed a 30 to 1 ratio to the Obama campaign fund. Forget the employees, the management figures are disturbing because these are the people that do the hiring and set the agenda for the network. This may expalin the lame job they did questioning Obama during the campaign, How how about the lastest disgrace, Brian Williams doing the interview with the Dog and the burger run---important stuff. Then CBS got into the act, (see my hub on CBS), now it's ABC's turn to grovel, (see my hub on ABC). Just compare the press confrences they held with Bush, both the line of questioning and the demeanor, compared to the adoration of Obama. Whatever happened to Edward R Murrow style journalism? Then we have the government schools where liberalism runs rampant in the union halls of every school. People claim we don't manufacture anything in this country anymore, I tell you they are wrong. Just go to your local government school and they are a factory turning out little liberals.

You don't like the liberals' programs, but the conservatives are offering close to zero solutions to our problems. It's easy to blather on and on about liberalism versus libertarianism. It takes a little more effort to discuss the critical issues facing the country.

Ralph, When the Republicans were in charge you could say the same about the Democrats. That's the way politics works.

Obama won't let Republicans sit in certain meetings, transparency.

Ralph Deeds profile image

Ralph Deeds  says:

Obama has tried to reach out to the Republicans. If I'm not mistaken he appointed a couple to his cabinet, and he started out on the wavelength of consulting with Republicans in order to reach consensus or compromise on several issues. But he didn't get very far, with a couple of exceptions.

Harvey Stelman profile image

Harvey Stelman  says:

That's so nice of him, maybe they paid their taxes. Republicans are totally left out of many meetings. Even if he talks to them, he never listens. Have you heard of any real compromises?

John Hott  says:

Don't you know, he won. That's all the justification the Obama administration needs for implementing societal change. How about the promise to read every bit of legislation before signing it? A unifier? He invites a few Republicans to dinner and calls that reaching across the table? Oh, maybe he had to reach across to get more butter for his bread. If he weren't so bad for the country, he'd make great joke material, only nobody is allowed to make Obama jokes. Wonder why?

Good hub! Sorry about the format...you just have to write in hubpages for it to turn out alright. I read recently a man who sent a letter to a newspaper editor in Florida. To make a long story short basically Obama admin took the guys GM franchise which was making money and gave it to someone else with no reimbursement. This has happened all across the states...these people have been found to have been huge McCain supporters...big government indeed.

I agree. Obama gained his position by posturing and empty promises. He looked good, spoke well, and offered hope for the future, and the average american fell for it. Now he is trying his best to force his agenda through before the next presidential election. I hope America wakes up before then!

I didn't think it was possible, but Mr. Bush nearly destroyed our country. It took eight years of favoritism and shameless friend-promotion (witness the horrendous aftermath of Hurricane Katrina) to dig a nation which was prosperous and was even paying down the national debt into this pit. It will take some time to get us out of it.

Republicans arrogantly ran a complete idiot (their cynical answer to "a woman") and an old man who probably had just suffered a minor stroke. Then, they hyped this daring duo with evangelist rhetoric. Many moderates in their own party voted for the Democratic ticket, and they are still foundering, leaderless, with teabags hanging from their hats.

To All Concerned,

I was a liberal frowing-up in the Bronx, N.Y. As I got older I became wiser, as most of us do. I haven't changed my views very much, but the Democratic party has moved much further to the left.

Kenndey and Johnson got us into and wouldn't let us out of Vietnam, a war fought not to win. It took a Republican, Nixon to withdraw our troops.

Harvey, very good article. It is a little hard to read because how it runs onto the ads, but none the less, an excellent effort on your part. I agree with most of what you said. It was also good because it brought on a lot of controversy, and that's what makes the world go 'round. Don White

Don, Thanks, I must have accomplished what I wanted to. So many of the things written on my thread were so stupid and did not pertain to the article. I thought the people on this site would be more intelligent.

I did NOT write the article as it was shown, format. I do write xlightly better.

I had started a campaign to run for President in 2012, but I am handicapped and am now not up to it. It was an Internet campaign. A friend is attempting to get the Republican nomination for the Senate in 2010. He is speaking with Michale Steele. He would open his mouth on everything.

You are creating a war between republicans and democrats and that is a diversion. The war is between the moneyed elite in finance and oil versus the middle class. And believe me, liar loans, a costly war to steal oil, and the debt incurred has made America much weaker. But that is what the international bankers want. The war is the middle class versus the New World Order and a reduction of American sovereignty.

Bush allowed both scams, the liar loan scam and the war for oil lie. But now Obama is allowing the fed regulator scam. They are the problem. The fed allowed the shadow banking in the first place.

bgamall, Government figures don't care about poor vs rich. They may come into The House with a net worth of $500,000 and leave in ten years worth $10,000,000. Sure they care about the little guy.

Screw "The New World Order," there is none.

Fox News Breaks Records on Cable News

Wednesday, July 1, 2009 10:38 AMBy: Jim Meyers

The Fox News Channel is having its best year ever and aired all 10 of the top-rated cable news shows in the second quarter of 2009.

"Since Obama came into office, Fox has continued not only winning, but doing so at unprecedented levels," Michael Calderone noted on Politico.

Fox showed a 33 percent rise in total viewers last quarter compared to the second quarter of 2008, and a 54 percent increase in younger viewers for its primetime weekday shows.

The biggest gainer on Fox was Glenn Beck.

"Beck, who takes aim at the administration repeatedly, is proving an even bigger draw since coming over from HLN: His 5 p.m. slot is up 110 percent from last year," Calderone disclosed.

TVNewser reported the average daily viewership for the top 10 cable news shows, all of them on Fox:

· 8 p.m. – "The O'Reilly Factor" — 3,188,000

· 9 p.m. – "Hannity" — 2,341,000

· 5 p.m. – "Glenn Beck" — 2,053,000

· 10 p.m. – "On the Record" — 1,950,000

· 6 p.m. – "Special Report" — 1,889,000

· 7 p.m. – "Fox Report" — 1,757,000

· 11 p.m. – "The O'Reilly Factor" — 1,579,000

· 9 a.m. – "America's Newsroom" — 1,399,000

· 4 p.m. – "Your World" — 1,389,000

· 3 p.m. – "Studio B" — 1,169,000

The cable news show on other networks that came closest to cracking the top 10 was MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," which had 1,159,000 nightly viewers during the second quarter.

Obama is doing his best to get the country out of the hole that Bush put us in. And he's getting little or no cooperation from Republicans in Congress.

If Obama is doing his best, please God, spare us from the worst. And, incidentally, you don't get out of a hole by digging a far bigger hole.

gary,

I can't agree with you more. The plan is to make the majority of the people dependent on government, and control corporations.

More people are realizing this and the Dem's are in a lot of trouble in 2010.

Great article, Harvey. I wish Mr. Deeds could see both sides of an issue. No, he doesn't appreciate George Bush. But it has taken 30 million unhappy Iranians to show how much Bush did for the attitude of freedom and the yearning to be free in the Middle East. The young people in Iran took to the streets to protest because they could see a little glimpse of freedom when they went to the polls, then the rug was pulled out from under them when the ayatollahs decided they favored Mamoud Ahmadinejad over Mousavi, the popular choice. Iranians thought they had liberty, and it turns out they don't. They have a theocracy, where the clerics get to choose who leads the government. One would think that if the mullohs want to say they are religious that they would act religious and not so duplicitous and dishonest with their own people. What the people of Iran really want is what Iraq and Afghanistan have, the right to cast an honest vote and make it count. That was delivered to these people (Iraq and Afghanistan) by President Bush. It was his statement that our going in there at least might become a catalyst to freedom for the area -- and do you know what? That's just what it has become. Thanks, President Bush. And thanks to our military and those who died or were wounded to achieve this kind of a victory. Oh, there's no doublt that when Obama moves our soldiers back to the U.S. that we will have won a victory. The question now is -- with his outrageous spending on banks, car companies, cap and trade, health insurance and on insurers like AIG -- if we can afford to wage two wars at once. And how do we deal with N. Korea when they send a missile onto Hawaii? Sure, shoot it down. Then be ready for a war in South Korea. Obviously, a lot on the plate of a young president. We should all pray for his success internationally, but not domestically because we're already broke.
