Obama Made Changes in America
63President Obama Made Change a Reality
These are the words President Barack Obama spoke one day prior to his auguration into being the 44th President of the United States of America. He said that the American people made the dream a reality. The dream of course is change used throughout his campaign. President Barack Obama said he had the dream of change and Americans made the dream of change a reality. Change is the campaign message that resonated from President Barack Obama’s campaign and with the pickup and transport from the American people to the destiny for America for years to come. At one of the campaign rallys the large placard read Change You can Believe In written in white print on politician blue paper. Barack Obama definitely believes in change or he would not have taken his family on the long road through many cities across America to the Presidency. He also said that changing the financial condition of the nation may take longer than his tenure because of the hole that had been dug, economically and energy wise from the previous administration. However, with the penchant of hope, change could come if all Americans, Democratic and Republicans do their part to conserve energy among the smaller things and warm up to green technology. The climate of the country has transformed to one of change and inspiration to servicing communities, cities, and the nation. Charles Gibson, a ABC news anchor, spoke almost on the verge of tears as he described the setting in Washington, DC pre inauguration day. He said he felt a sense of brotherhood as he walked the streets of the city with his wife. Charles Gibson told thee panelist on The View, television program that he had been through maybe 14,000 pages of research on presidential inaugurations. He noted that this historic inauguration was a change that was long overdue and that Barack Obama will be sworn in as President of the United States of America at 12:00 p.m. on January 20, 2009. President Barack Obama made change a reality.
The reality of change is the renewed American spirit, an inspired America, the likes of which Charles Gibson, the panelists on the View and all of America had never experienced before. Never since the inauguration of President Roosevelt who inspired the country with his statement of “The only thing to fear is fear itself, " has Americans been so taken in by this charismatic but productive former Senator from Illinois..
President Obama has brought the reality of change to America with real hope for the future and the legacy of young people to build a greater American than we occupy today. The reality of change came to America when everyone pulled up their shirt sleeves and put change in effect with service to their communities and country. Reality of change came to American at 12:00 pm on January 20, 2009 when Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.

Lgali, thank you for your comment.
What do all of these have in common?
"Hope and Change"
"Yes we can"
"Change we can believe in"
They are all meaningless slogans!
Good luck with that "Hopey changey" thing!
A Texan, thank you for your comment. "God Bless America" a hopeless slogan among many others that gives direction to a country with words and actions? What else is there to use to affect change in America beaten down by an economy that causes a man to rob a store with his daughter in tow? What else is there?
How about "morals we can believe in"
"Yes we can put America back to work by lowering the taxes on small business"
"Hope and Change the way Congress spend tax dollars"
I am sure you are a good person and want the best for everyone as do I, but the first obstacle that has to be moved before change can take place is government. The economy is bad because the"one" keeps trying to fix it, we would be well on our way out of this recession if he hadn't done a thing! Why? Because business and capitalism have built in repairs, if a business is failing let it fail, a new business will emerge to take its place! The cycle continues until its stabilized, the stock market is the best indicator that Obama's policies are failing, noone is hiring if it means they will be taxed more, no new employees if it means health care has to be provided! The only thing we have to fear is GOVERNMENT! Let the market dictate how the recession ends, not a lawyer with no experience!
A texan, thank you for your comment. I am sure that you are an American who wants the best for this country also. The stock market was not performing optimally before Obama became president causing McCain to make the decision to suspend his campaign which may have caused him the election, If McCain was in the president's position, I wonder would it be business as usual with Americas letting politicians do their work without comments.
I agree with President Obama that you do not see an economy falling without taking action. And action is what he has taken to revive the economy with the $787 Economic Stimulus Package, the $275 Billion Housing Plan, the National Service Act in honor of Senator Kennedy, the Lily Ledbetter Act of 2009, and other legislation that has yet to get off of the floor of Congress. If I was in trouble like the economy, I would like for someone to help me out of it instead of waiting to see where I would end up without help.
Doing nothing about the economy was never an option as problems beset Obama before he entered the presidency. As president-elect, Americans were curious about his economic policies. The associated press reports that although Americans are not too keen on his spending policies , they still give him high marks of approval on how he is handling the economy.
The stock market can not dictate how the recession ends. The president is saying that the economy will recover in about two years when most of the recovery policies would have taken effect.
It is a bit late to talk about experience as the American people has spoken through a democratic process where Obama won the presidency overtaking conservative states such as Virignia and California that put him over the top.
Well, if you liked FDR, then I suppose it is only fitting to like Obama since they're both Socialists. The economy has been setting up for failure for many administrations, not just Bushs. While I agree Bush was a very poor leader, I don't feel taking his failures to the next level as being means of undoing his actions (and the actions of those before him). I fully respect your right to have your opinion, and wouldn't want to take it away from you even though I feel you are very wrong. Please, as one American to another, please don't fight to take away my rights. My right to choose my own healthcare without fear of federal fines, my right to reap my own rewards without having them taxed away from me, and even more so, the right to take responsability for my failures, and not tax my neighbors. When you socialize a country, these things listed above are stripped from each and every citizen. These things are easy to have stolen in the night, but I don't know of them ever been given back. Not counting revolutions of course.
Ben D says, thank you for your comment. No one can take Bush's performance up to the next level. He is retired out in Texas with his wife having kept the legacy of Barbara Bush with the help of his brother in Florida. But that is another hub.
Political analysts have said that President Obama's way of governing is not socialist. Do you think that the American people would stand for such a government. The American government is still based on the people's vote with ratification of bills and laws by the Senate and the House of Representatives.
I think that the Americans who are tooting socialism do not know now what to do because an African American was voted in to the highest office of the land. So now the country is a socialism. I think not. If you were paying attention, President Obama is basing his political moves on that of President Abraham Lincoln and selected his cabinet from a group of rivals. Remember Hiliary Clinton and Judd Gregg? I think that you should be placed with the group of people who would like to check President Obama's birth certificate. Please, give the American people a break. No body is stupid here except the ones that can not list specifics except to use the broad term of socialism. Most of the time these people have not taken the time to read the policies and can only voice their opinions from the socialist side. I suppose they just do not want to be lonely.
President Obama is merely trying to keep his campaign promises and to insure the 47 million Americans who are not isured. 11 million of these uninsured are children. Obama says over and over again that if you are happy with your health care plan then keep it. Criticism is akin to Santa Claus being whipped by the Grinch for doing nothing more than trying to do his job and deliver on his promise so that everyone will enjoy Christmas.
A promise of hope and change you better not believe in! The Obama administration, and a bipartisan Senate and House are leading the assault on American sovereignty. You better wake up to reality and realize with each new policy and law they pass, is one step closer to socialism.
William Simpson, thank you for your comment. Please read from my library of hubpages Why Obama is Not a Socialist. Do not be so fast to get on the band wagon of calling names until you have done your own research. Your comment is much appreciated.

Wow Linda - amazing what people believe and what they will say. Nice hub, and good job defending your points.
William R. Wilson, thank you for your comment. Your positive comment made my day.
