Yes, I’m still very very very pleased with my 'vote' ....

....and proud of the people that voted like me. Our country is well on the way back, and we the people are well on our way to the ‘bottom of the barrel.’ Almost good and sick and tired of being sick and tired. Fed up with the feds. But, a day at a time, right? A week at a time. A month at a time. A year at a time. An administration at a time our country is on the road to recovery. We just have to eat dirt first.

As my grandfather used to jokingly say when he met someone, “I never knew a better person, and you’re both of them.” He proably spun in his grave when this one was elected. And he wasn't alone.

Obama urges realistic health care expectations ...

Our president Obama held his third and final ‘town hall meeting’ Saturday August 15th 09 in front of a Colorado crowd that was friendly. (friendly because they were mostly his democrat fans, and not to mention, (a phrase synonymous with both isles) the meeting was organized by his administration) He said that health care reform, what he was there to sell, would require insurance companies to put caps on out of pocket expenses, then, after the applause, went as far as accusing any efforts of detractors, or people that disagree with his plan, as being, “simply dishonest.” So, it’s honest to tailor a meeting of people you know will agree with you? And this is realistic?

Our president was introduced by Nathan Wilks ....

....a local electrician who described annual expenses of more than $7oo,ooo for his ill son (obviously the worst case scenario they could find) and how he had to scramble to acquire insurance companies that would cover the expenses. “If you think this can’t happen to you, think again,” Obama told the crowd that applauded effusively. Then he followed with, “no one is holding the insurance companies accountable for these practices. We’re going to ban arbitrary caps on benefits.” Funny he would use the word, ‘accountable.’ What is his health care plan provider? Is it the same plan others have in the senate, house, and ...? How can we the people apply for that plan? After all, we’re paying for it.

The New York Times Sunday

.... examined how, when senators discuss health care reform, they"usually speak in abstract terms about soaring health costs and the plight of the uninsured," problems from which "members of Congress are usually insulated." According to the Times, senators have access to a number of health insurance options through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, and they "are not exposed to the fears that strike many workers as employers reduce health benefits and insurers increased premiums year after year."

In response, some major Democratic presidential candidates ....

.... have said that all U.S. residents "should have coverage as good as what Congress has," the Times reports. Presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) has said that she would "give all Americans the same set of insurance options that their members of Congress have," and presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has said that, under his health care proposal, all residents would have access to "health care that is as good as the health care that I have as a member of Congress." (we're stillI waiting for him to walk the walk) and in addition, presidential candidate and former Sen. John Edwards(D-N.C.) (as if we can believe anything out of this guys mouth) has said that he would seek to end health insurance for lawmakers in the event that they do not approve legislation to expand health insurance to all U.S. residents within six months.

However, Congress "is far from agreement on any comprehensive proposals to help the uninsured," the Times reports (Pear, New York Times, 11/25).

But his real curse right now is the curse of the past.

Incase you missed Obama-ness I

The sad thing is that so many, many people in this country get 95% to 100% of their so-called knowledge about politics and the economy from watching their favorite left wing / right wing newscasters on the BigScreen DopeTube on a daily basis. NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING could be a more misleading and harmful source of information than the “daily news” — on any channel, ABC, msNBC, CBS or FOX. The biggest part of the “daily news” is either pushing a left wing agenda or a right wing agenda. The news is driven, not by a desire to tell the truth, but by a desire to get emotional reactions from people and therefore ratings and therefore big profits, and to Hell with the truth. An honest and accurate understanding of a politically driven economy can only be got from diligent study of the subject in your local libraries, if you really want to know. 95% of the so called experts on the subject of economics and politics seen on TV have never read John Maynes Keynes or Ludwig Von Mises, nor even know about or understand their similarities and differences. People come home, grab a super-size soda, a big cheese pizza and plop down in front of the bigscreen DopeTube and then permit themselves to be repeatedly brainwashed with the same old propaganda that the conniving media and the self-serving politicians have been palming off on us for the last 40 years. TURN OFF THE DOPETUBE and get yourself to your local library and study (diligently) these subjects before offering an opinion. 95% of all opinions in these forums obviously come from watching a favorite television newscaster personality.

Turn off the DopeTube and begin a serious study of these subjects in your library, if you do have the money to buy the books yourself. Diligently study these subjects and you will some learn that Ron Paul is telling you the truth!

Well, while this is a good Hub, I'm still wondering out loud....Did you vote for him and now disagree with this Health Plan, which is commendable, or are you being sarcastic? In any event, this health plan is a disaster.

Thanks for your comment. You would have to read Obama-ness 1

to understand. 'Gullible' would work better than 'commendable.' The administration is a disaster, McCain and his side of the pew is no better, that is my point. Our country has to get worse to get better. We have to loose something to know what we had.
