Obama supporters
57I spend a lot of time on Craigslist Rant and Raves section, and I am amazed at what I see from Obama supporters. It seems that they forget what Obama actually says and call people liars when these quotes are brought up. Example the Obama administration said "If the stimulus bill is passed then unemployment will not rise above 8%!" The stimulus bill was passed and unemployment has risen to 9.5%, when told this they scream liar, racist, any number of ridiculous charges. When they are presented with proof in the form of news stories from sources like the New York Times they deny that is what the article said.
I can understand defending "their guy" but in the face of proof they should say "OK your right, he made a mistake." But they don't. Its almost like a mental problem with these people, they are refusing to accept reality, that is just scary and dangerous. When George W Bush did things that I knew went against every conservative belief I hold I stood up and said "you are wrong, do not do this!" I contacted my Congressman and Senators and told them how I felt about it, I didn't look for justification to make me feel better.
I can't understand the things that Obama is trying to ram down our throats and apparently members of his own party don't seem to be too thrilled about them either. The Democrats hold both houses of Congress and do not need a single vote from Republicans to pass his agenda, the friction is coming from his own party in the form of "Bluedog Democrats." It is crazy to run around calling the Republicans the party of no, and blaming them for his failures.
I don't know if all Democrats or all Obama supporters are behind him 100% at this time but it would be nice if they applied the same standards to their guy that I applied to mine!

During the election, people were voting for Obama not because they believed in what he wanted to do to this country, but they voted for him because he was the same race as them. This election was one filled with race. I am not trying to be racist, but 96% of the African American population voted for Barack Hussein Obama.
They wanted hope and change! But they will soon get what they voted for if Obama keeps these policies up he is talking about.
We need a Conservative leader as President to guide us through this hard economic times in our country. Obama is not prepared to lead us through these times.
Obama is taking us on a road to Communism. Karl Marx, an extreme Communist wanted radical change and he started with healthcare. Does this sound familiar?

Glad you liked it, I agree with what you said and am too a little scared. But before he can take this Country to the extreme left he will have a fight on his hands one that I think they will lose, remember the military is mostly conservative!

Joy taxes will indeed go up, there is simply no way to pay for bailouts and everything else this guy wants to do without tapping the middle class and unfortunately even the poor.
Obama's people don't believe in him themselves, its just because he is African American and most African Americans only voted for him just because of this. I as an African American believe in voting for someone not because of color, but what one could do for the people in this country. I am willing to bank on it that the same people who voted for him cannot tell you,what is his main focus and what is his headline topic in today's news. Either, most has never voted before or if they have they were not active. Its just because he's African American. The only reason! Excuse me for putting the truth were it lie.

Sherry darlin, I think its worse than just Blacks voting for him because he is black, I think young kids no matter the color voted for him because he was Black. They wanted to be the first to have a "Black President" that scares the hell out of me!

I think most of his supporters who either can't or won't listen to truth or facts, even when given backup sources, do so because they themselves see the destruction of our freedoms in the form of this new president. They can't believe that their "dream" is actually a nightmare. After being spoon fed, and buying into the "HATE BUSH" meme, it is an impossibility that Obama is wrong for America and most importantly, that his voters are the ones to blame.
This crowd LIVES by the "non-responsible" scripture - and now THEY ARE POINT in bringing about the destruction of the last free place on earth. They refused to look at the writing on the wall during his campaign and now they are reaping the rewards of their blindness - all while still screaming that they MUST BE RIGHT because he is not Bush. God knows Bush didn't do everything right but he didn't do what Obama is now trying to shove down our throats.
Facts always get in the way of their insipid arguments, go read lindagoffigan and experience for yourself what happens when you overdose on the kool aid!

Good points. Unfortunately, Obama supporters look to him as a 'personality', a celebrity. His policies are secondary. From what I've seen, an Obama freak is no different from one who follows Madonna, Russel Crowe or Mick Jagger. He is merely an icon, attacking his policies is attacking him and they simply won't stand for it.
