The House of Representatives narrowly passed its version of the healthcare bill Saturday night, November 7, 2009. Right now, that doesn’t mean much for the Senate will have its say as well. The two bills will have to be combined and then both chambers will vote again.

It is unlikely the whole process will be complete before our acting-president, the Messiah, will have completed his first year on office. After all the debating (I call it bickering) the Members of Congress have been through, whatever becomes the final bill signed by Obama (if it even gets that far) will be different - a whole lot different - than what the Obama administration started with.

As I think most of us know, the administration will do whatever it takes to declare victory even if it means putting together a camel instead of the horse ordered. Whatever it takes! Man, that sounds good. The old college try in action. What more should any red-blooded American want from our leaders?

Well, yes, what more should we want, expect and get from our leaders? How about a fair shake? How about honesty? How about serving - really serving - the people of the Great United States of America. How about our leaders not bribe groups in order to declare victory no matter how hollow is the victory?

Dick Morris and his wife Eileen McGann composed the article, Obamacare Endorsements: What the Bribe Was, that every American citizen interested in the direction our acting-president (you know - our high servant) is taking us against our will should read and comprehend. It tells us:

  • Obama blackmailed the AMA for its support of his healthcare plan.
  • The AARP got a financial windfall in return for its support of the healthcare bill at the expense of senior citizens.
  • The drug industry backed ObamaCare and, in return, got a 10-year limit of $80 billion on cuts in prescription drug costs
  • The drug industry also got administration assurances that it will continue to bar lower-cost Canadian drugs from coming into the U.S. All it had to do was put its formidable advertising budget at the disposal of the administration.

Against our will? Yes according to the November 9, 2009 Rasmussen Report showing these results from a national telephone survey:

  • 45% now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. Most (52%) remain opposed.
  • Only 25% Strongly Support the plan while 42% are Strongly Opposed.
  • Support for the plan has remained essentially unchanged for months. Last week, it was supported by 42% and two weeks ago support was at 45%. It has generally stayed between 41% and 46% since July, and support has bounced above that level only in the wake of nationally televised appeals by the president.
  • The latest numbers show support from 81% of those in the president’s party.
  • The plan is opposed by 90% of Republicans and 58% of unaffiliated voters.
  • Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters now say passage of the legislation will increase health care costs while 53% say it will hurt the quality of care.
  • Still, 56% now say the reform plan is at least somewhat likely to become law. That figure includes 20% who say passage is Very Likely.
  • Only 31% believe Congress has a good understanding of the proposed health care reform.

Still, Obama and the congressional democrats continue sticking it to us even while the congressional democrats fear being voted out of office in 2010.

What else can I say other than, “The master is being had by the servant."
