Update Supreme Court Writ of Certiorari 10/30
Update 10/20/2008 Philip Berg has appealed to the Supreme court for an appeal of the lower court's dismissal. According to march report "Supreme Court Associate Justice David Hackett Souter (who usually votes with the liberal wing of the court) has ordered that the defendants in Philip J. Berg v. Barack Obama, et al. "are required to respond to Berg's Writ of Certiorari" by Dec. 1. In simple English, that means Barack Obama may (or may not, depending on how Souter rules after receiving Obama's response and Berg's response to that) be required by the Supreme Court to provide valid documents that prove he is a "natural born" citizen of the United States and thus legally eligible to serve as President as required by Article II of the Constitution." By the way, the electoral colege meets December 15, 2008 and the congress must vote on those results January 9th. so, it's not over until it's over.
Anotherr suit has been filed by Andy Martin, J.D. in the Supreme Court of Hawaii. You can read about it on contrarian commentary. The hearing is set for November 18, 2008 in Honolulu.
Update9/24: Unfortunately Senator Obama has moved to dismiss the case. Instead of producing a "vault" copy of his birth certificate, he had his lawyers move to dismiss the case. More or less, taking the 5th. Of course, this raises even more suspicions about his eligibility. it would have been far simpler to produce a "vault" copy as Senator McCain has to the Press. There is a due date for the Obama campaign to answer the complaint that is set for Wednesday, September 24, 2008.
A prominent Philadelphia lawyer, Phillip P. Berg has filed a lawsuit requesting an injunction against Obama's candidacy, according to Atlas Shrugs2000. Apparently, as of the latest update this afternoon, 8/21, the federal judge, Hon. R. Barclay Surrick, is presiding. It is Federal Lawsuit August 21, 2008· Update: Case 08-CV-4083 and has not been entered yet into the Pacer system.

Some may believe this is a frivolous case, but Is it really asking too much for the"presumptive" candidate of the Presidency of the U.S. to at least present documents proving his citizenship? Moreover, what about his medical records? Some observers, and I might add, not merely causual observers, but experts in body language, have stated that they feel Obama is suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder. he has a grandiose sense of self-importance; is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love; believes that he or she is "special" and unique; requires excessive admiration;. has a sense of entitlement; is interpersonally exploitative; lacks empathy (no sympathy for the born alive Infants); is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her; shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.

On August 21, 2008, the same day that Phillip J. Berg filed his lawsuit, an online site factcheck.org released another so-called birth certificate, claiming that they saw and touched it.
However, what they don't tell you is that the site, factcheck.org, is owned by the Annenberg Foundation that is run by William Ayers and Obama. They have pictures of a raised seal and a certificate umber, but the picture of the document is being held at an angle and obviously is unreadable; a rather clumsy attempt at trying to subdue the furor. Phillip J. Berg has stated that if Obama can produce the documents necessary, he will drop the case and walk away. Of course, they should be examined by a forensic expert, with credentials.

Barry had to be an Indonesian Citizen to Attend Indonesian State Run Schools
There have been questions all along about Barack Obama and his citizenship. He keeps the questions going by not revealing a proper birth certificate.
However, historian Judah Benjamin wrote an article for noquarterusa.net today covering all of these questions in a very fair and even manner. The major point that comes out of his lengthy analysis is that in order for Barack to attend the Government schools that he did, he would have had to have been the adopted legal son, or warga negara Indonesia of Lolo Soetoro.
The point Mr. Benjamin made convincingly is that during the sixties, when Indonesia was a Police State, it was necessary to have certain identity papers, called Student KTP to attend the Indonesian State recognized Schools he attended,and which Foreign children were not permitted to attend. They were not international schools.
Mr Benjamin continued:"No journalist has denied that the SD Asisi Record contains the following information: He was enrolled on January 1st 1968, given Serial No 203 and placed in Class 1 B. His Religion is given as Islam, his Nationality Indonesian, his Father's Name as L Soetoro Ma., his Father's Occupation as Official, Director General's Office TNI [Topography Division Indonesian Army] and his Name as Barry Soetoro."
It is Mr Benjamin's considered conclusion that "there is clear prima facie evidence that Senator Barack Hussein Obama has held at least two Citizenships, American and Indonesian." Dual citizenship is a clearcut cause for ineligibility to run for POTUSA, under Article II of the Constitution.
Additionally, if you examine Obama's application to the Illinois Bar, he failed to list any previous names. Certainly another cause for suspicions that Barry has been trying to keep his real history secret for years. If he hasn't actually legally changed his name to Barack Obama, then it may be possible that his candidacy is going to be dismissed, because it is in the wrong name.
The most likely scenario is that when he returned to Hawaii to live with his grandmother, she simply took out his original birth certificate and registered him in Panahou Prep Schools.

During an interview the other day Bill Clinton said "everyone has the right to run for POTUSA,if they have the constitutional eligibility." He knows. He won't say anything because then he will be accused of racism.
Unfortunately, the states do not vet the candidates. they do not ask for birth certificate. etc. so Barry has probably been using false documents for years. Most likely that's why his grandmother is hidden from the public. She was a VP in a Hawaiian bank and probably can pull strings and Lord knows, Barry's supporters, George Soros and Penny Pritzker have tons of money to buy out any public officials anywhere.
However, I believe what Ludacris did last week and because of Barry's obvious psychiatric instability (as reported both by USA Today and Wash Post), and also because the Black community sees that he is not doing anything for them, he will continue to spiral downward in the polls.
Hopefully the super-delegates will see this and realize that Barry is a very, very weak candidate and will put Hillary in the nomination and elect her as the candidate.

Well you have fun speculating about his birth now. Gee, this is just not my cup of tea. There are so many more important, uplifting, and better things to do with our lives than tear others down. Obama is a US citizen and this investigation was cooked up to discredit his campaign and try to take voters from him. Politics has always been an ugly arena, which to be quite frank is why many people cannot stand political campaigns when smear tactics come into play. None of the other presidential candidates would endorse this type of talk about Obama by the way, so that is something to think about. Now it would be nice if you wrote a hub detailing why you think McCain would make a better presidential candidate because of his policies rather than just trying to discredit Obama. I read this a few days ago doing a google search on "Obama Citizenship issues". When I first did the search, this was one of the top 3. Now, it's buried by other blogs saying this claim is false. I don't know if it is or isn't. I do know that Pennsylvania isn't in the Ninth circus court, and for a judge to accept this case means there is some credibility to the case. What I don't understand is how no one has reported on this topic, whether it's made up or not. If it's false I'd expect Obama's team to hype up this fabricated attack for sympathy, as Democrats always cry victim whenever it's humanly possible. They attack McCain because he owns seven "homes" and didn't know the total. He shouldn't have, because his finances and his wife's are seperate. I also laugh at those ads because if I had as much money as they do I'd have dozens of investment homes, not just seven! While that may seem off topic, the point is it highlights how Obama goes after every unimportant facet and blows it out of proportion. So if this citzenship issue is a fabrication, they should be all over it. If it isn't a fabrication, the other side should be all over it. The total and complete silence on the topic is really what scares me.

Wow, what a heated debate! Glad I'm sitting on the sidelines here in the UK. Personally I would like the best person to get the top job, regardless of where he or she is born. Whether we like it or not, here on the other side of the Atlantic, we are very much affected by what goes on in America. I don't relish the idea of a cover-up, and I've learned plenty of new stuff on this hub that I've never seen published here in the UK. Regardless of that, though, if Obama is elected by the USA then we'd better hope that he really is the right man for the job!

President Clinton may have been about the same age as Barack Obama when he was running for president (he was 45) but he had been Governor of Arkansas for a total of 12 yrs prior to that and before that Arkansas Attorney General for 2 yrs. Senator Obama has none of that. I believe Barack had about 143 days in the US Senate before announcing his candidacy for President.
Interesting comment vrajavala. If that guy were running for Prime Minister in the UK, his lack of experience would weigh against his obvious charisma. From where I'm sitting I think it's likely that he will be your next President, so as I said before, let's hope he is the right guy for the job!

McCain was born out of the country but the powers that be (which evidently is not the American people we aren't smart enough to make these choices on our own.) but whoever does, decided that the fact his parents were both US citizens, and he was on a US base when he was born because his father was serving our country in the military on a base where his wife was with him, has cleared whatever protocols to ensure that he is a citizen. I have looked and found this and where they met and decided such. We would agree on that right?

I truely believe the republican party has its hand in these accusations. They used the same sort of tactics during the last election to make Kerry's war record appear to be a joke so that Bush (with no war record) could one up him and gain the votes of veterans.

You are correct... all sites are paid for but the difference is that not all sites are sponsored by a party or a movement. For example BBC.com pays to have their site online yet neither the Republicans or Democrats (or whatever their equivalent is in England) controls them or dictates what is being said.
The site that C. Vrajaval references are put up not for information or news... they are for online for the sole purpose of smearing a candidate and making accusations.
The problem with the internet is that it allows everyone to post whatever they want without any form of checks and balances. I can make an allegation like McCain is Gay (or Obama is a muslim) and use my site and make up all kinds of nonsense to back it up yet there is no one nor any way to confront these false statements. If a newspaper or a news site posted these allegations they would be sued for slander.

Just because Prtizker created the adjustable rate mortage, doesn't make her responsible for the lack of rules and regulations (By Bush and the Republicans). WASHINGTON – The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) closed Superior Bank FSB, Hinsdale, Ill., today and appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver.
The FDIC transferred the insured deposits and substantially all the assets of Superior Bank into a newly chartered, full-service mutual savings bank, known as Superior Federal, FSB, which will open for business on Monday morning. All depositors of Superior Bank automatically become depositors of Superior Federal, and will have immediate access to their insured funds. All 18 of Superior Bank’s Chicago metropolitan area offices will open for business Monday and will continue to offer full banking services, including online banking. Superior Bank’s loan production and servicing operations will also continue to operate normally.
OTS used its authority under the FDIC Improvement Act of 1991 to close Superior Bank when it found that the bank remained critically undercapitalized — that its tangible equity capital was less than two percent of its total assets. The bank failed to implement a capital restoration plan that it submitted to OTS on May 24 this year.
Superior Bank suffered as a result of its former high-risk business strategy, which was focused on the generation of significant volumes of subprime mortgage and automobile loans for securitization and sale in the secondary market. OTS found that the bank also suffered from poor lending practices, improper record keeping and accounting, and ineffective board and management supervision.
Superior became critically undercapitalized largely due to incorrect accounting treatment and aggressive assumptions for valuing residual assets. The bank also experienced significant losses during 2000 from its automobile lending program.
OTS has determined that Superior Bank is insolvent, having incurred losses that have depleted all or substantially all of its capital. OTS also determined that Superior Bank was no longer able to transact business in a safe and sound manner.
OTS notified the bank of its serious concerns in July 2000.
The bank was purchased by two families in 1988 — the Pritzker family of Chicago, owner of Hyatt Hotels and other interests, and the Dworman family of New York, with interests in real estate and financial services activities — and was operated through a complex network of holding companies.
In light of these findings, OTS determined that closure and the appointment of FDIC as receiver were necessary to protect the interests of the bank’s insured depositors.
As of March 31, 2001, the failed bank had total assets of $1.9 billion and total deposits of $1.5 billion. FDIC insures depositors’ accounts up to the statutory limit of $100,000.
Superior is the only bank that OTS has closed in 2001, and only the fourth OTS-regulated institution closed in the past five years.
The FDIC has established a toll free telephone number for customers of Superior. That number is 1-800-331-6306, and will be available until midnight tonight and then from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily thereafter.

As for what you mentioned... yes it is concerning that Pritzker was the head of a failed bank. It is also amazing that she has enough money to pay this back (her family has paid back nearly 50% of it... though the court gave her 15 years to pay this money back).
Nonetheless you have a legitimate issue and a legitimate beef with Obama on this one. But wait that bank closeout was in 2001... it is now 2008. Also once again the blank closeout happened during the beginning of Bush's term... so why didn't he do anything to protect the public from these vicious billionaires?
Bush had 7 years to do something to prevent these types of loans from becoming commonplace... he did nothing. Now we have several banks that are facing bankruptcy or have already closed... including Douglas National Bank (Kansas), Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothers... in fact there are 14 banks (so far this year!) because of the lack of leadership by George Bush.
Sorry but Prtizker was not the owner of these banks that failed, nor was she in charge of our country during the last 8 years when rules could have been put in place to prevent this crisis.
Pritzker is not a good stain on Obama... but George Bush is not a good stain on John McCain either. I would rather have someone in there who is going to try and change things rather than continue with the failed policies of George Bush.
Basically she, along with Obama,advocated "subprime mortgages' which is the practice of granting mortgages to people with less than perfect credit, on the basis that this would be fair to all classes and colors of people. Unfortunately, these people should never have been given these loans. They weren't qualified. Obama himself advocated these subprime mortgages, when he was a "community organizer".

First of all, banks make their own guidelines. There are mortgage companies and banks that are not surveilled by the government. I was never a mortgage broker. I was a loan officer in training just before the mortgage crisis, so I learned a few things.
However, I did learn that there were differences in the guidelines of mortgage companies and banks. Those with the lower guidelines are the ones that failed. Those are the ones that want a bail-out now. Basically all of this comes from socialistic philosophy that Barack obama espouses. In other words, "everyone should have a house philosophy" or "redistribution of wealth that is advocated by Obama. This is his philosophy.
