Obama's Got An Ego?

As If --

We don't!! Since when was having an ego strange and unusual for a political candidate?? I can't think of one who hasn't had a touch of "I'm good."

Leave that subject alone, unless you add in several more people. McCain's ego is the size of Alaska, Bush's matches Texas, and Cheney is so full of himself I can't stand to look at the man, not to mention the Clinton entitlement, and Bush dynasty, need we go back further?

How can anyone criticize ego and not mention Bush's entrance into Iraq! It was all about him and the secret oil deals he and Cheney/Halliburton have made.

We surely don't want someone as President who goes around with an "aw shucks-do-you-really-mean-it" attitude. That will get us lots of respect. Iran will fold, North Korea will bow, and China will forgive our debt.

I want a strong President and if he thinks he's the symbol of America's return to strong traditions, so be it. If that's the worst that can be said, we're finally going to solve some problems.

Do we have nothing more serious to talk about? I'd rather hear what the new health program will look like, how to bring down oil prices, how to help reduce global warming, pay the national debt, secure our borders, stay out of war, and how to increase the safety of our food.

What is going to be done about the energy crisis? How about giving T. Boone Pickens a chance to talk. At least he's trying and I'm interested.

I don't want good air time taken up by talking about Obama's ego, like we've never seen one before.

Let's keep it real, go here for more political rant.

We need a strong President, that's for sure. His ego isn't bothering me. People are snappin' at a gnat! He's got a great sense of humor, vision, we might be going in a good direction for a change.

I love the way you think....His EGO is not just about making himself look good, but the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and we haven't looked good for a long, long time!

Hi Alicia,  thank you!  Looking good for America by the world's eye is extremely important now.  We need their help in the fight against terrorists, and in the financial struggle for better energy as well as trade.  We can't continue to import at a high price and export at a low one.  Our people matter.  Obama has to be confident and if he wasn't being "Presidential" they would tag him with being timid.  He has to just keep going forward and let the Republicans whine.

OH THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Forget even CNN. Until the campaigns, especially during and after Obama's visit to the Middle East and Europe, I didn't understand why anyone would watch the Daily Show or the Colbert Report. I now perfectly understand. I had given up on objective thinkers. Write some more and I'll read.

PenmanZee, I'm glad this spoke to you! I think in search of a story, the media can be so petty. I trip over people's egos everyday. It's not a new thing to political profiles. Now, we do not want it to reach the scale of the Bush Administration, so we need to observe. However, it's no way even close to that. He IS the symbol of return to common sense governing....helllO!! That's what we need and want. !! Come back soon PenmanZee!!

Looks like to me by the way that Johnny McCain's "Straight talk express" has evolved into the "talk about Obama and supress"... but maybe that's jis me...

McCain is showing just how small he really is. He was tortured, ok, give him a break. But, don't vote for him for President. He's not even close to being able to handle the job. He scares me.

Here here! Seriously, I can't believe all the smear campaign tactics right now. Obama is one of the least smearable people in politics, especially because he freely admits most of the stuff people could smear him for, which is a great way to approach the situation in my opinion. And he doesn't have an ego, I agree. He's getting all this crap about his europe trip, but McCain has visited all those countries he visited since hitting the campaign trail, and he's not even a senator.

I agree, he's just showing how small he is. He has nothing good to say about himself (because there's nothing there, imo) so he's just taking potshots at Obama. I can't believe the networks are running that new Brittney/Paris advertisement at all. Shame on them

Jonno - You are right, we have so many important things to talk about, and McCain CANT address any of them, so he smears. It's sooo obvious and petty. He's making Obama look better and better!! thanks for reading!!
