With falling poll numbers, and worry about Governors races in two critical states (N.J. & Va), the geniuses in the White House decided a photo-op might be a good opportunity to turn things around. Show that Oba-Nazi really cares. 18 caskets were flown into Dover AFB. the new regulations about photographing the war casualties allows photgraphs to be taken, but only with the permission of the family. Only one family acquiesced.

As you can see in the photo, Obama has been practicing his military salute, but possibly his "Etiquette Czar" forgot to tell him that, since he has never served in the military, he is actually not entitled to use that salute. Since there is a flag draped on the casket, he could have put his hand over his heart. Some Veterans thanked the President but cautioned him against using the salute.they pointed out that it wouldn't be good to militarize our Republic's civic duties. The military salute is only for those who have served in the military, it is not given out for nothing, like the Nobel Peace Prize.

Possibly, Obama has had of heart about the military, however, every Veteran remembers when he snubbed the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball for those recipients of the Medal of Honor. The first President to skip it since it was started in 1953.

One attorney, Debbie Schussel retained the services of a government expert who examined the so-called Selective Service Registration of Obama, and said it was a fraud.

If Obama wants to show respect th the military, possibly he could intervene in behalf of Lieutenant Michael Behenna who killed Al Mansur, an al-Queda terrorist in self defense, on May 2008. In the trial Feb-March 2009, the prosecution enlisted a forensic expert, Dr. Herbert MacDonnell, who came to the conclusion that the Lieutenant was, in fact defending himself, and had not, as the Prosecution claimed, murder Al Mansur in premeditation. Because the forensic expert didn't support the Prosecutors position, the evidence was suppressed and Michael was sentenced to 25 years in Leavenworth prison. Please support Michael.

This morning's Washington Post writers, Greg Jaffe and Scott Wilson Have reported that: "McChrystal, who took command of the 100,000 U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan in May, is promoting a plan that calls for concentrating forces around urban areas to better protect the Afghan population and pulling back from remote regions. His idea calls for speeding the training of Afghan forces, expanding civilian efforts to improve Afghan governance and starting other long-term programs to win the support of the population that the insurgency draws from. McChrystal has advocated something far closer to a nation-building project. Some Republican supporters of the general's plan in Congress have compared his strategy to the 2007 "surge" of U.S. troops in Iraq, a shorter-term effort that helped pull the country back from sectarian civil war."

But, they continue ""In reviewing McChrystal's bracing assessment of the war, the President and his senior advisers have concluded that the Taliban cannot be eliminated as a military and political force, regardless of how many more troops are deployed."

so, there you have it. The Community Organizer cannot understand the military genius of General Stanley McChrystal, and is willing to "cut and run." McChrystal is Commander of NATO, and thus responsible for several other countries troops, not only the US. Remember that Obama did not think that the surge in Iraq would work either. And then he said he wasn't "against all wars, just stupid wars (like Iraq)", and that the "real war was to be fought in Afghanistan."
