Obama sure seems to love being in the spotlight.  He receives more air time on TV than the reruns of M*A*S*H.  Ok so that is not a fair comparison, M*A*S*H is entertaining.  I recently watched him give a live performance in front of a crowed that obviously had nothing better to do and he was discussing, or rather lying about, his universal health care charade.  One woman stood up to ask if she would be allowed to keep the coverage she now has through her employer.  She is happy with her coverage and does not want to change as are many employed people across the country.  He responded that she will not have to change her current coverage no matter what she has been hearing.  Theoretically he is telling the truth I guess but what he didn’t tell her is this plan will stop the coverage we now receive through work.

            This is how it works and why we better stop it.  Everyone is asking how such a wonderful program will be paid for.  Well, one way it will be funded is by stopping the tax breaks your employer gets now for offering you insurance through work.  Every dime your employer pays towards your coverage is a tax write off; they wouldn’t do if it wasn’t.  So my question to the supporters of this plan, or any other idea of Obama, is what makes you think your employer will continue to do this when it really starts costing them big dollars?  The answer is simple common sense, they won’t.  Therefore, this woman asking the question can keep her current coverage and the only problem she will have is that it will not be available anymore.

            The bottom line here is the government is the worse run business in the world and everyone knows it.  The trillion dollar deficit should be the first clue to this.  Why is it trying to take over everything from the auto industry to the insurance industry?  Private insurers will not be able to compete with the government. 

            Here is another simple fact to digest.  Competition in business is good, it keeps prices down.  When prices are down people spend money.  When people spend money the economy is good.  Is everyone with me so far?

            Let’s just sit back and let the Obama administration realize they have already bit of more than they can chew before we let them get us all in over our heads even more.  This universal health idea didn’t work in Europe and it isn’t working in Canada that is why the Canadians or crossing the border faster than the Mexicans, they are coming here to be able to see a doctor before they die of old age.
