October Sky Full of Nuggets
95We Got Nuggets!
October Skies Are Fulll of Golden HubNuggets Wannabes
October is more than the month of Halloween, Harvests, and the Moon of Falling Leaves. It's the month of rockets!
October Sky is the 1999 film commemorating Homer Hickam Jr's. early space age contributions. These started with homemade rocketry one autumn in high school and led to NASA and the US Space Program. He helped us get to the moon! His dreams came true and can inspire new Hubbers to follow their own. October skies are full of promise.
NASA was founded on October 1, 1958, making our space agency 51 years old this October. When will we return to the moon? perhaps soon.
October 4 - 10 was World Space Week in 2009.
Dozens of astronomical events occur in October every year.
Famous Sci-Fi writer Ray Bradbury wrote many of his tales set in the month of October.
This year, the skies of October are important, because they have rained down some of our own stars: Golden HubNuggets Wannabes for your enjoyment and consideration.

I think the team looks terrific in their spacesuits, too! Hope people will wave back at me.
Oh, do we have to make reservations for the gravy bar?
Book Flame, is my vote worthy enough to lift your position in the list? Anyways, congratulations for being one of the Wannabes.
The space suit is my favorite attire, then comes the cat suit.
Sayyy, a gravy bar is a great idea - potatoes, rice and noodles with 24 kinds of gravy. BT will be very busy.

I was so honored to be nominated. I didn't know anything about this distinction until it sort of "happened." Thank you for the nomination. All my effort and attention has gone into writing good hubs. I'm blown away that I was even considered. With each new hub I try new approaches and techniques, but the goal is the same. So thanks again, fellow hubbers. I still don't know exactly what I'm doing vis-a-vis hub rules and protocol, but I'm hanging in there. What a community!
Congratulations! Fun, isn't it?
Once again you have come up with a great bunch of hubs for us to read.
