By Poetic Muse

I found him on a curb.

Ode to a Blowfish

One day you are swimming in the sea

Pretty happy-go-lucky and carefree

And the next thing that you know

Into a fishing boat you go

I bet you never saw that coming

That a new tune you'd be humming

Now look at what's left of you

And there is nothing you can do

You are all dried out and prickly

And you look terribly sickly

And now you're stuck on dry land

Gone are the beaches and the sand

You adorn somebody's desk top

Between the monitor and the mop

Your mother thought you'd be big some day

How did you ever end up this way?

Dedicated To Lounn

  • Seasons

Tears running down and down Snow melt rivers turning into rapids Seasons change Hearts change Spring blizzards crush early flowers Jack Frost is not ready to slip into the floes Not until he has his last laugh But even he cannot hold sway on the turning of the wheel

Thanks G-Ma. Her style is so infectious. She's like a whole poetry revolution singlehandedly. She's like a poetry ninja.

Wow, that could be blowfish or any of us, wondeful poem.  Reminds me of my planets  - even blowfish can dream.
