I've always had a fixation with foreign accents, whether it be Canadian, Russian, Chinese or German.  But one stands with that prestigious group, that I can call my "favorites", (as I'm sure it has with countless other teenage girls): Scottish accents.  Granted, my favorites, are all similar sounding- Scottish, British and Australian, but they all have their own little things that set them apart.  Yes, sadly I have purposely listened to them long enough to know the differences.

So, imagine my delight when I saw this request asking for some Scottish-folk.  I'm more than willing to fill this request, and even get some personal delight from it.

And here you are, some fantastic Scots for your enjoyment.

First off, my favorite.  Late-night TV personality Craig Ferguson.

Next, David Tennant.  Best known for his role on Doctor Who, as the Tenth Doctor, most recently in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet, starring as the Prince of Denmark himself.

Ever heard of Franz Ferdinand?  Well, they're Scottish.  I'm sure their accents are all equally easy on the ears, but here's a clip with lead singer Alex Kapranos.  He comes in around 37 seconds into the video.

This next guy is not only Scottish, but easy on the eyes.  Gerard Butler, most notably the star of the movie 300.

Time for a little estrogen, I suppose.  Singer/songwriter KT Tunstall.

Other notable Scottish celebrities include Sean Connery, Tilda Swinton, (Michael Clayton, Burn After Reading), Ewan McGregor, (Star Wars, Big Fish, Robots) and James McAvoy, (Becoming Jane, The Last King of Scotland).
