Oh theThings You Learn Sitting in a Barber Shop
64Football Trivia
Today my wife wanted to go shopping with her sister and she wanted me to go along. The idea really did not really appeal to me as I have a horrible cold and have been sneezing and coughing my fool head off. When we arrived at the department store and went inside we soon met up with the sister-in law with cart in hand and after exchanging the usual pleasantries, she informed me her son was up the street at the Subway having lunch and was needing to go over to my son's barber shop to get a haircut. I told her I'd be glad to run him over and wait on him while he got a haircut, at least it would relieve me of a couple hours of torture in the department store.
I walked up to the Subway and my nephew was just finishing his lunch and I told him I would drive him across town to the barber shop for his haircut. We were soon on Martin Luther King Boulevard headed toward the busy bend of Kanuga, When we arrived, there were two or three ahead of him so I just sat there and listening to the conversations that were in progress. Now Willy is a talker and he was front stage. He is an avid sports enthusiast and was bragging about his Pittsburgh Steelers. He was amazing to listen to, recounting all the draft picks from Troy Polamalu to Big Ben and all the great tackles he has made since putting on a Steelers uniform.
The conversation then shifted to his UNC Tar heels basketball team. Again all the new players scouted and brought into this years squad and how they will cinch another NCCA title for Roy Williams at seasons end. He further shared his opinion of how well Tyler Hansbraugh has adapted in the pro's scoring 20 points in his last game.Willie went on and on never missing a beat.
Finally, Willie had to tell this one about an incident during one of the games he watched , I forget which one now but apparently some super star player was in a game a few years back and was tackled. Upon being tackled something fell from his pants, a small brown object, I assumed it was the crap being knocked out of him but as Willy went on to explain, it was a Snickers candy bar laughing loudly. this brought another round of laughter from those in the barber shop as others add their own comments about this strange happening. this same player who may have thought he would need a quick hit of energy from the candy bar was later arrested for being in possession of a substantial amount of marijuana.

But the Steelers came back in the second half and beat the snot out of Denver the Broncos looked clueless. Big Ben ended up with another game with a quarterback rating over 100.(It's spelled Polamalu)
