Oil of Oregano - Miracle Cure!
77Never Heard of It, Right?
Oil of Oregano is an edible medicinal grade essential oil that has an unbelieveable number of practical uses. I have used it personally so I have seen how powerful it is, especially for infections. Medicinal grade oregano is grown from a wild species of oregano throughout the world, but the highest grades are found in the Mediterranean. Many european countries have traditionally used homeopathy to treat a variety of ailments and it seems to be catching on in the US. The latest catchwords here are "green" "environmentally friendly" and "organic". It's good to see the trend but you really need to investigate products to make sure they really are pure and organic.
Back to the Oil of Oregano. It is processed by a special type of distillation that has been used for thousands of years and results in minimal alteration of the active ingredients. The result is an amber-colored, hot-tasting liquid. The best way to take Oil of Oregano internally is under the tongue, through the mucous membranes there. You can also apply it topically, as long as it is mixed with a carrier oil, such as olive oil. The flavor does take some getting used to, but it is so useful you can get used to it.
Oil of Oregano has anti-inflammatory action, and is an antioxidant. It also has an anti-venom action and can neutralize the venom of spiders, scorpions, bees, ants and snakes. It is a natural anesthetic, as well. It is also a mucolytic, which means it thins mucous, which makes it effective for lung disorders and It is antitussive (halts coughs) and antispasmodic. But the most useful attribute of Oil of Oregano is it's anti-microbial power. It is known as Nature's most powerful and best antiseptic.
Oil of Oregano is anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and anti-bacterial. It's main active compound is carvacrol, a type of phenol (phenols are great antiseptics). It is useful for the following conditions:
Acne, animal bites, arthritis, asthma, Athlete's Foot, bad breath, bedsores and ulcerations, bladder infections, bromidrosis, boils, bronchitis, bruises, burns, bursitis, candidiasis, canker sores, cellulitis, cold sores, colds/flu, cough, cryptosporidium, dandruff/seborrhea, diaper rash, diarrhea, ear infections, ebola/dengue fever, eczema, fingernail fungus, fleas, frostbite/frostburn, giardiasis, gum disease, food poisoning, head lice, headaches, hepatitis, hives, impetigo, IBS, leg cramps, paronychia, peptic ulcer, pneumonia, poison ivy/oak/sumac, psoriasis, prostate disorders, pruritus, radiation injury/burns, ringworm, rosacea, scabies, shingles, sinusitis, sore throat, spinal infection, sports injuries, stomach infection, tick-borne illness, thrush, toothache, tuberculosis, varicose veins, venomous bites, vitiligo, warts, and wounds.
I am not a medical person and this information is not meant to replace the care of a medical doctor. I just recently had an experience with an antibiotic-resistant staph. bladder infection and the only thing that helped eradicate the infection was OIl of Oregano. After that experience, I only want to take antibiotics if I'm on my deathbed. With all the antibacterial products in use, combined with the over-prescribing of antibiotics, we are in a pickle now regarding antibiotic resistance. In my opinion, it's better to try natural cures first, then if they don't work, move on to the antibiotics.
I highly recommend the book "The Cure in in the Cupboard" by Dr. Cass Ingram. I am in no way affiliated with the product or the author; I just found something that helped me and wanted to pass the information along. Good luck!
