One of the highest earning sales jobs in the world is in the field of oilfield equipment sales. Aside from brokering large ships, the sale of drilling rigs and equipment is one of the most lucrative sales jobs. If you are a good closer with some knowledge of oilfield equipment and terminology this just may be the career for you. Now that the oilfield is slowing down there are still opportunities in oilfield equipment sales as companies are liquidated. Much of this equipment is picked up by oilfield equipment brokers and put on the market again. In times like these the stronger oil companies with cash reserves will buy up bargain priced equipment. Pumpjacks, oil tanks, pumps, wireline units and even drilling rigs offer high value commissions.

The first explains the theory of a working oil rig and how wells are drilled in great detail. The second describes everything that happens after the well is drilled. This is helpful for anyone wishing to sell production equipment such as tanks and pump jacks.
Now is as good a time as any to get into the lucrative field of oilfield equipment sales and earn a six figure salary.
Oilfeld equipment sales will take you to the ends of the earth. If you love to travel and don't mind traveling to the back of beyond you will be rewarded for your efforts.
Your clients will be as diverse as the oilfield itself. It will be helpful to know more than one language. Since Russia is a growing market for oilfield equipment, a vocabulary of basic Russian can help warm your clients to a sale although you will likely work through interpreters and English speaking Russian purchasing operatives.
