So many of the Ol'Roy foods are produced by different companies. I'm not sure about That one style. My advice is to stay away from all their products until this is ironed out.

Both our dogs have died first it was thunder who died bleeding out of his mouth now baby the girl dog that was left after he died he use to not let her eat as much as he did,he tried to eat up everything being mean! But now baby has died and they were ALWAYS SHUT IN THE DOG PIN. And we always feed them ol roy dry dog food not wet ! How do you get the food tested for contamination. They died estremly strange. Frankly we are num cause we really don't know what to think.

Do u know if the Pedigree Dry PUPPY DOG FOOD best if used by 4/ 2008 lot # 711FLKKMF Distributed by Masterfoods USA is on the recall list. I suddenly had a 5 month old puppy to die suddenly in two days of getting sick throwing up and diarreah and we dont know the cause. My puppy was up to date on her shots but she still died.

I had just brought the Old Roy Dog Bisquits few days after the recall and then was afraid to give them to my dogs. They were still on the shelf at our local Wal-Mart. Have you heard anything on this item?

Ol' Roy is produced by a number of companies. Several of the Ol' Roy products have recalls. Wal Mart is known for not removing the item which is under recall. Overall, I would NOT risk feeding something which has a higher probabilty of being bad than good.

If you have your receipt you can return it to Wal Mart. Wal Mart may also return the item but not issue a cash refund. They may let you exchange the product or put the money on their store card.

Ol' Roy dosen't have a return policy that I know of.

There is nothing left to find out. Ol'Roy have years of recalls. This is not the first recall this product has had. There are thousands of pets which have died from eating Ol'Roy and more being added daily. Today, I know your Yorkie was added. The products codes listed on this page are as recent as 5/18/07.

Hang on to it and any receipts you might have. If you are looking for a refund and nothing more you may return it to Wal Mart for a refund.

If you don't believe you are going to do anything with it I would like to have it.

Should you decide to simply throw it away be sure to wrap the bag in plastic wrap and put it out in the trash just before the trash man arrives. You don't want any other animals eating the product, either.

We have a precious Jack Russell that has ate Ol'Roy Dinner Rounds for the enitre 3 years of his life. He is in the Vet Hospital right now with Kidney failure. Thus far we have spent $1,200 trying to save this dogs life. The Vet does not hold out much hope. Even thougt the Dinner Rounds was not on the recall list how do we know this is not the cause of his failure. Do not use this Dog Food if you love you pet as much as we do.

Our dog passed away last night at 4am with total kidney failure. He was only 4 years old (too young die, and be so sick). We bought him Ol'Roy Cookies 3 weeks before he got sick (little did we know). PLEASE STOP FEEDING YOUR DOG OL'ROY DOG FOOD OR TREATS AND TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THE SAME.

I have a min-pin who just got out of the hospital on Friday with severe food poisoning. We bought a bad of Ol' Roy Kibbles, Chunks, n Chews a week ago. Last Tuesday night she began to not feel well. Wednesday when we got home from work, she had been throwing up all day and by 11PM she had completely bloody stools. I took her to the vet on Thursday and come to find out she had food poisoning and hemmoragic cholitis caused from either Ecoli or salmonela. Needless to say we were within a couple of hours of losing our baby. She is on four medications, a special diet from the vet, and still not 100% back to normal. Sadie is 5 1/2 years old and we love her dearly. I think these pet food companies need to be monitored by the FDA. I called Walmart and the manager gave me a gift card to buy my other dog some replacement food and she also filed a claim with the corporate office. I have a $750 vet bill because my dog had food poisoning from a Walmart product. I am close to never shopping there again and I will NOT buy another Ol' Roy product again. My dogs are part of our family. I feel so sorry for each of you who have lose a pet. I know how precious they are to you.

Ol roy is a horrible horrible food, with nothing but garbage in it. They actually use dead dogs and cats from shelters in it, they found a euthanizer drug in there, phenobarbitol

I agree about Sam Walton turning over in his grave. He loved Ol' Roy and was trying to do a good thing when he produced this brand of pet food. Another sad story is Purina. Purina was a trusted family name. The founders made sure the ingredients were fit for human consumption and the best that could be purchased. Since Purina went broke in '99 and Nestle bought the "tusted" Purina name all the products with the name Purina are killing pets left and right. At least Ol Roy still ranks better than Purina.

Both stories are a shame.

Both of my dogs mysteriously died on August 17. 2 completely healthy American bulldogs (one was 7, the other 9 months) Ace and Dixie were like our children and now they are gone. Because it was so strange to have 2 dogs pass at once (expecially with such varying ages) we called the police and for the past month they have been investigating the deaths. Just this week they ruled out foul play like poisoning by bad neighbors and were going to do tests for parasites and things they may have gotten into in the dirt or plants. Earlier this week I went online to look up what they might be testing for and stumbled upon the Ol Roy recall that was announce 9/12. We fed both dogs Ol Roy High Performance Nutrition. I had never heard of any of the prior recall information. I feel sick thinking that we fed our dogs poison. I'm almost certain this is what happened to my babies. I still have the last bad of dog food which is not completely gone and I have the last bag before that which is empty. I have left a message for the detective handling our case to see what he suggests I do with the dog food and how we proceed from here. Maybe what I have can help prove a direct link between the company and the illnesses and death since the press release specifically states this is only a precaution, nothing has been directly linked.

I had a jack russell that died a few weeks ago. I had just had him for a week and we were feeding him ol' roy puppy food. He started throwing up and diarrhea,,both of which had blood in them. Within 2 days he was dead. We thought he had got into some old scraps we threw out and it made him sick. He was UTD on shots. Then a couple days later my sons pitbull was found dead in his kennel. He was eating OL' Roy complete nutrition. He had only had him a few weeks. This is the first time I have heard about the Ol' roy products being bad. I have been feeding all my dogs (9) either the puppy or complete nutrition of the ol' roy brand. The last couple times I went to buy dog food they have not had any in the big bags so I have bought the smaller bags instead! If these products are killing dogs why are they still selling them in the small bags and you can still get the puppy food too. I am outraged!! WHat can I switch my dogs too that will be easy on there stomachs?? They all have bead reactions when I have tried to switch them before.

My boxer Sami (5 years old) just got out of the vet last week. Two weeks prior to this we began feeding her OL' ROY KIBBLES, CHUNKS 'N CHEWS. We noticed that she began drinking a lot more water than usual and had frequent urination. She used the bathroom in the house 4 times in one night....very unusual for her, since she NEVER has an accident in the house. A few days later she began throwing up and would not eat her food. She is usually a very active and excited dog, and she was lethargic and very inactive. We took her to the vet, and he suggested that we test her for diabetes. Her blood tests came back and showed kidney failure!!! She spent 5 days in the animal hospital with constant IV's and medications. She is doing much better now, but we think the dog food is the cause of it. The vet said that usually coming in contact with some sort of poison or chemical causes this. She is a house dog and when she does go out she is on a leash and right with us. I know she did not get into anything. This food is not on the recall list, but I think it should be. If you feed your dog any of the Ol Roy products, I would stop immediately!!!!

Our dog just left the vet today after 4 days of vomiting and feeling lethargic, restless, couldn't keep any food down. The vet thought parvo even though she's been vacinated but the test was neg. I was giving her just rice and boneless skinless chicken to help her get better but she couldn't hold that down either. Before that she was eating Old roy kibbles chunks and chews. The vet did many tests and couldn't really find anything but did place her on a special food "Prescription diet" costs 47 dollars but if it will keep her healthy it will be worth it. Don't know my vet bill yet but I'm sure it will be high. she stayed for 2 days on IV plus all the tests and x-rays. the problem is now one of my other older dogs is vomiting and i'm not sure which one it is yet. they both act like they feel okay but I have found several areas of vomit. I'm thinking it is this dog food and I am getting rid of it today. anybody else having similar problems with "old roy kibbles chunks and chews"??

This is very strange. I have a Pekignese and a Daschund. Several months ago the Pekignese had to have bladder stones removed. As I am writing this my daschund is in surgery for the very same thing. We feed them very well. Between us and the vet we have finally determined that the treats made by Ol Roy is the only thing that could have possibly caused this. Nothing but junk in their treats we WERE giving them. The Beef and Cheese twist. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT MADE BY THIS BRAND.

Suddenly, my corgi became listless and was unable to walk. After searching, for signs and symptoms that she was exhibiting I came across this website and I am feeding my dog the same food, Melissa! She is very ILL!!!!! I thought maybe, a chicken bone, snake bite, or tick, but none of these matched what was going on with her. What are we to do now? OMG!! Please please push the government to start having the FDA check pet food. Send these comments to your congressman. This is horrible and Walmart and whoever makes Ol' Roy should not get just a slap on the wrist for it. This food should have been inspected for everything and often. Just because the FDA doesn't do it doesn't mean the makers and dealers aren't responsible to make sure it gets done. These posts break my heart. I have been giving my Pit Bulls the Ol Roy dog Bones and I just bought 2 more bags. We have not had any trouble with them until about a month ago and now I have 8 out of 11 that have a very bad case of diarrhea. I've been feeding my dog the Krunchy Bits and Bones since he was old enough to eat dry dog food. He's now 8. I have also given him the multi-flavored bones in the red bag with no problems. BUT...I was at WalMart one day getting his bones and they didn't have that particular kind anymore. So I got the one's in the yellow bag. All the sudden my healthy 8 year old dog developed alergies and hot spots. His skin got really scaley and flaky and he was losing his hair like crazy. (he's 1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 australian shepard). So you can imagine the hair in my house. He would itch so bad he'd chew himself to bleeding. I had a suspicion it was the bones. Trust me....never giving those to him again. Took him to the vet. $110 and 2 prescriptions later, he's fine. And out of the bones, so I'll definately get him a different kind. I never knew about these recalls.

Can you please tell me if there has been a recall on Ol'ROy Gravy Coated Sauce, in the past as I can not find any information on this. Our dog seems to be getting sick from this since we let her have them....We bought them from Walmart.Expiry date is Jan 2010...Thank you

I have a dutch sheperd 5yrs old, a golden lab 5 yrs old, and a lab pitt mix 5 yrs old; they have been on olroy dry and can all thier life. I had a boxer age 14yrs up until last month, she passed away; the boxer only ate olroy for aprx 1and1/2 years off and on. She had came down with excessive water drinking, urinary infections, mass cell tumors,joint problems severly and quickly, siezures and finally not knowing who or where she was. several, several thousands of dollars later she passed. NOW, my dutch sheperd and lab has gotten severe joint problems, hip problems, and mass cell tumors that we just had to have removed. I feel awful like i must be a bad owner and doing something wrong, my vet said they are not overwieght, well taken care of with regulars ck.ups that I did nothing wrong. In the pass I to felt like one or the other had been posioned due to vomiting and shaking but it would subside so I let it go. I am asking what do you think, could mass cell tumors and joints and hip, knee problems be linked? Strange this is with 3 out of 4 my dogs. Help

Also I fed them olroy dry bones in the bag, I have fed all 3 different varities along with chews,bacon and cheese twist you name it I fed it; of course i thought i was being wonderful by giving them all these treats. I was told yesterday about the recall and had no clue. I feel so stupid now. I have a horse farm and for tax reasons I have all dog food reciepts from wal-marts for the last 5 years.

Again it's me, I am just so upset I forget to add some things. I don't know if this is related but 3 out of 4 also has cme down wiyh un-explainable liver issues.
