Olango Island in Cebu

If you're looking for a place to spend your vacation while being one with nature, Olango Island is the perfect spot! I have been there for a field trip for my Bio class and believe me, you'll surely love and enjoy each moment you spend in there.

We used a pump boat to get to Olango Island. It was really fun and we enjoyed the splashing of the sea water. It was quite refreshing for us. The sea breeze was also very relaxing.

When we arrived, we had no problem with the people in the port, they welcomed us warmly and even offered to carry our bags for us. We rode tricycles on our way to the destination. We actually stayed in Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary(OIWS). If you have kids to bring along with you, they'll surely have fun with all the migratory birds and fishes they'll see. To have a better view of these migratory birds, we went to the observatory deck. But before that, we passed through this pathway which they say consists of a hundred blocks of rock to step on. I didn't count the blocks I stepped on so I didn't know that it was a hundred.

There are a lot of things you could do in there. You could go mangrove planting which is really fun. Bird watching is kinda fun too. We even drew some of the birds we saw, one is the Chinese Egret.

Whether what objective you have in your mind for your trip, you'll absolutely wish you could stay longer in Olango Island. So why waste time? It's about time to have a relaxing vacation.
