Remember "STRATEGIES OF THE PAST"

Are you a network marketer whose has started a home base business where you are approaching your family, friends, neighbors and even strangers? And the only reason your using this network matketing strategy is because your upline told you it's the only way to build your Network marketing business. And by using this strategy on a consistent basis you will have financial freedom.

Are you a victim of this type of network marketing strategy? because I am.

As network marketer today, I can truly attest to it.

Let me tell you, I followed the lead of my upline by contacting everyone I knew and even complete strangers. People I didn't know... For a long time I wondered why I had to contact strangers. But I soon found out. I found out that those strangers needed to know as much as my closest friend because the were prospects too! I was told basically everyone was a prospect.

So, let me share with you a day in my world dealing with prospects:

I blocked out a time in my day to start my prospecting. I started with my list. That list consisted of 100 people. Those people were my family, my friends, my neighbors and even my husband co-workers just to name a few. I basically told them I had an opportunity that they couldn't pass up because I believed it was a chance of a lifetime. Low and behold, I had a fraction of my list to commit to an appointment. But that fraction didn't actually commit because they were No Shows to the appointment.

So let me ask you the reader, with the time that I had allotted out for my appointments daily, "Where did it leave me?" I was basically holding the phone with nothing to do.

I was wasting my time.

However, I continued to follow my lead because they reassured me it would eventually panned out. And I believe them. So, I continued prospecting my list. A list that I dreaded to look at..., but I perservered. I evenutaully completed that list. And after completing that list, guess who I prospected next? It was time to call complete strangers. For a better term Cold Calling.

My upline gave me a script, along with a telephone book(A to Z), a newspaper listing and a list of netwok marketing competitors(A-Z). And basically told me to get to work. They told me to practice my script until I was comfortable. And at the same time mention, I would never have to worry about running out of prospects again. Because I was given an endless way to get prospects. And that endless way was going to build my business...

Again, can you relate? If so, continue...

As I said before I contacted everyone I knew... not knowing what my outcome would be. All I knew I was promised the world if I continue to perservere.

But let me tell you that didn't happen.

I actually had to explore other options before the end of my network marketing business came a denouement.

Now as I look back, I realized that my upline didn't take time to learn me as an individual and what I could contribute to my network marketing business. They didn't learn my strengths or my weaknesses. My upline was more in-line to learning my "Why" and what I could do for them. They basically wanted to see if my "Why" was strong enough.

Do you understand me...

They were more intune for themselves. In the end I felt as though I was thrown to the wolves with no parachute. I realized I was just another person in their downline.

Now with the assistance of my mentor, I have ascertain an education, that has allowed me to see the network marketing industry in a completely new light.

I realized control has to come from me. Me INC. Where there are NO EXCUSES. When I say no excuses, I mean I don't have the right to complain anymore because I have the foundation. This foundation has given me the knowledge to build my business effectively.

I've learned so much being in the network marketing industry. I have learned who I am as an individual. And I've learned my strengths and weaknesses, so I can market my network marketing business. Moreover, I have learned everyone isn't a prospect because everyone doesn't have the drive or mentality to build a ME, INC. Again as mention before, if I'm prospecting someone of that nature, I'm just wasting my time. They should be the ones searching for something new. I shouldn't be the one forcing an opportunity on someone. If their please with their current situation, they are please. But, if their seeking and searching for a better way its always good to be there to help.

So, as Confucius says: "Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire."

So I ask you the reader are you willing to go through the struggles or are you willing to break the curse of the past and learn a new way of marketing your business? HI Donna,

I feel what you went through. I have been there and done that as well. Actually, because my upline does not know about attraction marketing, they will call me once in a while to do a three way call with them. The only difference now is that I'm much more comfortable doing it because I'm no longer dependent on that method alone. I don't HAVE to get these people interested in my business. It's not the only way to success in my business any longer, so if they say no, I don't get upset. I just go back to my attraction marketing. It's great!!!

I have sooo been there done that! Having tried many network marketing products and plans, I have had the privilege of working with a lot of different uplines, and they all have exactly the same mindset and coaching plans...if they breathe, they are prospects!
