Old Cars For Sale: Setting up an account on eBay Motors
70Old Cars On eBay
When I first starting searching for old cars for sale, my first thought was to check out eBay. I'm a avid eBay user myself and figured this would be a really good place see what's available.
I was shocked to see the number of quality old cars for sale on eBay and at very reasonable prices. I was so impressed that I actually started my own blog to showcase my discoveries, but that's another article!
Right now I'm interested in showing you how to take advantage of eBay and their large selection of old cars. The first thing you'll need to do is to actually find eBay Motors!
That's pretty easy, just jump on over to eBay Motors, here's their address.

Finding Old Cars on eBay Motors
There are many ways to find your dream car on eBay. One of my personal favorites is to browse through their Collector & Classic Cars section.
In this section you can browse their collection of old cars by make & model of the vehicle, by era, or by type.
I enjoy browsing them by type or selecting the All Collector Cars option under the Collector Cars by Era section.
Check out some of the awesome cars listed at the time of this writing.
Look at that Corvette Stingray (3rd auction down). Man I love those cars. Corvettes have always been at the top of my list of favoriate all time cars.
As you can see eBay is a wonderful place when you're on the hunt for old cars for sale.
Watching the cars you like
Another key benefit of having an account on eBay Motors, even if you are not planning on buying right away is that you can watch cars that you are interested in.
Just say you're interested in a 1950 Ford Barrett Jackson and you found one on eBay that you fell in love with. You could bookmark the page, or print it.
But there's a better way to keep track. Just add the auction to your watched list. Just right of the auction title there's a link labeled "Watch this item".
Once you click on the link the auction will be added to your account for future reference. You can view the cars you have watched in two ways. You can click on the My eBay link that just appeared after you clicked to watch the auction or you can use the link that's located on the top of the page as well. Both will bring you to the same location.
Bidding on the cars you like
Now that you have found the car you like, added it to your watch list, discussed it with your spouse, and ready to buy, all you have to do now is to bid in the car!
eBay auctions are just like any other auctions. You place a bid and other people will bid against you. If you are the highest bidder when the auctions ends and if the reverse price is met, then you are the winner.
Note that this is a legal binding contract, so only bid if you are serious about buying the car.
To bid, just click on the Place Bid button.
Depending on your personal preference you can enter the minimum amount to bid. You can enter as much as you're willing to pay and eBay will keep outbidding anyone who attempts to bid higher than you until your entered amount is reached.
For example in the Ford Barrett auction, the current bid price is $15,000. If you know you're willing to pay $25,000 for this car, then you can enter $25,000.
eBay will only bid the minimum amount ($15,100) and will only increase this bid amount if someone outbids you.
Summary
That's it for now folks. In future articles I will be showing you how to pay for you car once you win the auction. I will also show you have to stay protected against fraud and answer your questions about shipping.
Have fun and good luck on finding your ultimate dream car!
